It will be really strange to see that number 10 out there again, regardless of that, he is exactly the player we needed. I hope, for these 3 years, he can give it his all, he is the quality we have lacked for a while now.

Im sure Tevez would have appreciated his welcome.

This is our best transfer in years, we will be like a new team with Tevez (and Llorente). We are really going to be putting ourselves right on the top level of teams now.

Suarez would have been the ultimate player up front for Juve, but alas, un-attainable. Carlito is an awesome alternative though. He's pretty much a slightly older and shorter version of Suarez. Tevez is a whirling dervish of passion, grinta, skill, stamina and, most importantly balls on the pitch. Players like Giovinco should be made to sniff his moist jock strap after every game in the hopes that they too can be infused with the same type of constitution.

I dont see what the big deal is in him donning the #10. Many great players have donned that number before Ale, and many great players will continue to carry that number after Ale. I think it's a great symbolic act by the organization in putting the weight of the holiest of numbers on his shoulders. The gravitas of the shirt will serve as a reminder to Carlito of the lineage he is succeeding.

@Salvatore I'm in disbelief. Tevez + Llorente for the attack in one summer is amazing. I'm beyond words :touched: :tuttosport:

Members of the society, I commend you. I commend you for sticking by your man, continuing to believe in him, and never doubting his abilities. This is for you  :pint: :malt: :wine: :champ:
I don't think Beppe's even finished yet. There will be more this summer.

True, he said he wanted #23 though. Plus he played with Ale so it might be a bit different for him personally.

    Full name: Carlos Alberto Martínez

    ...

Carlos Alberto Tévez (born Carlos Alberto Martínez...

    ---

Tevez is a nickname or sthg? Or did he take his wife's name?

    Early life

Tévez was born Carlos Alberto Martínez in Ciudadela, Buenos Aires Province, and raised in the neighbourhood of Ejército de Los Andes, better known as "Fuerte Apache". It was from there that he got the nickname of "El Apache".[19] His parents changed his surname to his mother's during a conflict between his junior club All Boys and Boca Juniors.[20]
Tévez has a distinctive burn scar that runs down his neck from his right ear to his chest. He was accidentally scalded with boiling water as a child, which caused third-degree burns and kept him hospitalised in intensive care for nearly two months.[21] After joining Boca Juniors, Tévez refused an offer from the club to have them cosmetically improved, saying that the scars were a part of who he was in the past and who he is today.

He had to take his mother's maiden name due some tax/financial problems with Boca Juniors I believe.

Don't worry, there is still time for him to co-own Osvaldo and Gilardino :D.
