Juventus are planning an £18m swoop for Manchester United outcast Carlos Tevez as his agent admits “he really likes Italy.”
The Argentine hitman has made it perfectly clear he feels unwelcome at Old Trafford and will be leaving at the end of the season.

“I know that the player really likes Italy,” confessed agent Adrian Alberto Ruocco to Calciomercato.it.

“So far there have only been minor conversations and no concrete talks. Carlos would like to play in a competitive League with the Italian, English and Spanish fitting the bill.”

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport, Juve are prepared to come in and pay £9m upfront to take Tevez on loan for a year.

After that period has expired, the Bianconeri offer another £9m to make the deal permanent, although that is only a starting point.

The owner of his contract, Kia Joorabchian and Media Sports Investment, want at least £28m to part with the striker.

The rumours were sparked when Joorabchian was spotted in the San Siro stands last Sunday for the Milan-Juventus match.

“At the end of the season we will evaluate the Tevez situation,” continued Ruocco.

“Manchester United have not started negotiations with us. There was a deadline to buy the player, months have passed since that date and he has continued to play under the old loan deal that expires on May 31.”

No, thanks. More from him i like Cassano - Italian and less cost.
After purchasing Diego, we don't have a further 30 million for the purchase of Tevez. So I think that this fairy tale...

And what I wrote?

Italian and less cost

... and skills at the same. There is a possibility that Tevez will not work in Serie A - Cassano is a guarantee of 100%. For me as an Azzurri fan is very important to our team played masters with the representation of Italian.
And soon will be rule 6 (representatives of the country) + 5 (international players), and may be a problem.

tevez has an extremely good work rate and ethic, but quite some times his lacks the final product, like the goal or assist
cassano is more reliable when it comes to that, plus as other ppl said he will cost less, he is already proven in serieA and will cost less

Cassano is proven in Serie A with a provincial club. He's proven to be not very good when he was at a big team that had other stars: Roma, Real Madrid.

He's not called up for the national team because he's a sulk. I think Cassano is talented and all, but i dont think he has the temperement to play for a big club, he's not that type of player. Tevez is a winner and a more complete player even if a little less creative. He also scores more goals and works ALOT HARDER for the TEAM than Cassano could ever dream of.

He's not proven in Seria A because he has never played here.... Its not like he's flopped, if everyone took that logic no one would ever sign foreign players which is pretty stupid. Add to that the fact he is a European champion and has been exceptional for every team he has ever played for I think the risk of him not being able to play well in the slower italian league is lunacy.

Having said that if the price is over 25m then i would say hell no, but if we sell trez and the price is around the 20's then hell yeah. Tevez is pure quality.

What do you writing!? In Roma he was the biggest star of the club, next Totti ! :agree:

The representation does not exist because Lippi does not like him - not because it is restless. At Euro 2004 and Euro 2008 somehow it was not problems with him - and most importantly - he was among the best players from Italy (in 2008, next Chiellini and Buffon). He has now ceased, and the don't make problems, unless he already ripe in the end has 28 years, has since fiancée (Marcialis Carolina) and he has changed for the better.

Cassano > Tevez.

If signing any means Giovinco out then NO for both.
And how do you think Gio would be played if we get Cassano? With Diego,Alex and Cassano there would be no space left for Gio, but if we sign Tevez, gio would still have space.

Btw guys, how much do you think cassano would cost?

Giovinco, IMO so will not be played in the attack because they are not suited to this, is too small. He is perfect on the wing or as a playmaker (instead of Diego). Cassano Del Piero would take place.

Some time ago Beppe Marotta speak, that whoever wants to buy Cassano must give about ~20 million. We are still a number of players instead of putting, for example Almiron. Written about this after all.

What do big italian teams have against developing players ? Why is it we only like the established ones ? Or wait when the italians are 27/28 to buy them again ?

If thats the case, than i certainly wouldnt say no to Cassano. But if it means less playing time or even offloading Gio, than i do not want him here.

He was the biggest name at the club next to Totti but he didn't live up to his potential there. He fell out with all of his managers after Capello left and went down hill, he's unstable. There was a time when i liked him and thought he could be tamed but he just hasn't matured. He only seems like he has because he's at samp and he is pampered, he is 'the star'.

Claiming he was one of the best players at euro 2008 from italy is hardly a thing to rave about, i think he played about 120 minutes of football, highlighting just how poor italy were in that tournament. Bottom line for me is I dont really like the guy and it would be a very poor decision to bring him here.

Tevez on the other hand has the perfect mentality for Juve; hardwork, commitment, determination and passion, coupled with an amazing footballing ability. Anyone who has watched Carlos play for more than 2 hours would know that

Carlos us pure class. But his price tag might be out of reach for us, but if its the same or very close to Cassano, im all the way for Tevez. He is class in manchester even when he is misused by Ferguson.

Carlos Tevez is class both as a player and as a person, unlike Cassano. But I really doubt we're getting him.

edit: Oh, it's from Tuttosport. Close thread.
