I think putting all the Real CL wins on Ancelotti is giving too much due. This is Real who won three CL in a row with a brand new coach. I feel like anyone could’ve stepped in and kept winning there.

His man management skills will be put to the test with Mbappe joining. With their stacked squad I'm not sure how expectations can be realistically met. Will be interesting to see how Carlo navigates this.

he managed the second most star-studded team of all time - Milan. And had zero problems.

Man-management is Ancelotti's biggest asset.

that's a good point too. ancelotti's teams' league performances aren't goat worthy either. did ancelotti win more cl's than league titles? lol

if i had to rank them i'd probably put lippi, ferguson, sacchi or mourinho ahead of ancelotti. i'd say rinus michels, guardiola and cruyff were more influential too. i can't say who's the goat and i usually find goat debates mostly pointless anyway, bottom line is that ancelotti is a top10 coach, which is the absolute elite, no matter how you look at it. he's had an overall brilliant career, although i can't really forgive him the choking at juventus

There are too many 'Goats', Trapattoni, Helenio Herrera, Miguel Munoz, and Hitzfeld/Heynckes should get shoutouts

One CL is worth at least 3 league titles IMO.

    Real Madrid were terrible in the CL for about a decade. It was Ancelotti who won Real their first CL in over a decade back in 2014 when they hadn't won it since 2002. There is too much revisionist history here lol.

    and then they won three in a row with zidane as a new coach. Doesn’t take away from what Carlo did but the team has some of the best and most experienced players in the world, coach there can only do so much
