Chiellini giveth Chiellini taketh.

Despite playing like the monster he is, he still almost gifted a goal to Isco from bad passing; scored an own goal; and left the small box for no good reason, only to leave Vasquez alone.

All that said, he is a legend. But our ceilling is lower with guys like him, Khedira, Matuidi. You know exactly what they are, you don't expect improvement. Just not enough for Europe.

Look at your written words ''Almost'' so that means it never happened, so shut the fuck up still complaining about him.

Chiellini: 'First Bayern, now Juve...'
By Football Italia staff

Giorgio Chiellini said it “shouldn’t be surprising” Real Madrid beat Juventus with a soft penalty, because “Bayern Munich went through it last year.”

The Bianconeri had turned around a 3-0 first leg defeat by leading at the Bernabeu, but 30 seconds away from extra time in the Champions League quarter-final, Real were awarded a penalty.

Replays show Medhi Benatia got the ball and Lucas Vazquez went down very easily.

“It shouldn’t be surprising, Bayern Munich went through it last year and this was Juve’s turn,” Chiellini told Mediaset Premium.

The defender also could face a fine or even suspension after making the 'money’ gesture at Raphael Varane and asking if he had “paid” for the ref.

“Between the first leg and this one, just about everything happened. It’s laughable that the Italian refereeing designator said things are going well in the Champions League.

“Nobody thought we could turn it around, but we believed and it’ll help us for the next Champions League campaigns. It’ll be an objective for the future.”

Juventus President Andrea Agnelli demanded VAR technology in the tournament, but Chiellini thinks the situation is beyond that.

“It wasn’t an issue of VAR, because the referee still needs to have courage and a conscience. The referee must try to be less of a protagonist and give only clear-cut decisions.

“You could tell at the time it wasn’t a penalty, but seeing the footage back it’s just laughable. We must remember that we beat Real Madrid 3-0 on their own turf and only a crazy person would’ve believed that going in.

“We could’ve scored five or six goals tonight, so we ought to be proud. We want to win the seventh Scudetto.”

Part of what's killing football is all the hype to be honest. Even if the alleged UEFA conspiracy is fake, its clear that the hype of Real and Barcelona, is putting pressure on the refs to favour them. You can see that the ref never gave one yellow card when Ronaldo dived. Deep down I know its not match fixing, but the way football has evolved these past 5 years, it has made it hard for refs to be neutral.

I can talk about his otherwise good performance (aside from nearly scoring an OG), but it was the decisive moment of the game and we had seconds to go so I thought it was worth commenting on.

If you don't like reading other opinions maybe try http://www.giorgiochiellini.com
its not a other option, you always criticise him for no reason.

and also you cant see a difference between leaving a man unmarked and a offside trap attempt lol.

I wish he scored what could've been an incredible own goal and saved us the late heartbreak.

It's time for him to hit the bench next season.
