Chiellini, Vidic and T.Silva are the best CBs by far. Nesta and Puyol could be up there as well but they are too slow, injury prone and old.

I think I prefer Chiello on the left sometimes. He had a good game but i'd feel safer knowing we have another good CB(which we need to sign, Bonucci isn't good enough) with him on the left side

Chiellini was great in the second half but only decent in the first in which he was beaten once and made several bad passes in dangerous areas.

Chiellini is versatile and can adapt, but he is nit that young anymore.
Switching back and forth, dont favor him.

I think its wiser to keep him in the center now. As he grows older and loses stamina and speed, he will be less effective as a LB, esp in Conte's formation.
The right time to use him as a LB, was when cancer Molinaro was there. Chie was younger, clumsier and faster then.
All these years turned him into a better CB, his role in the NT is as well there, so we better keep him there.

It was a bizarre experiment to try and plug the LB spot with Chiellini, anyway; in the process leaving a gaping hole at CB that Bonucci could never even dream to secure. CB's more crucial than FB any day.
