Chiellini agrees new contract
Giorgio Chiellini says there is 'agreement on everything' in talks for a new contract at Juventus.

The 26-year-old centre-back has been locked in negotiations for months amid interest from Manchester City.

Speaking at a FIFA 2011 publicity event, Chiellini said: “There is agreement on everything for the renewal.

“There is only a little bureaucracy missing.”

He then reflected on Sunday's disappointing stalemate with Bologna.

“There is no dip [in form]. There are improvements. We were always in their half of the pitch at Bologna without conceding anything on the counterattack.

“We are only missing goals. We'll what point we're at on Saturday [when Juventus face Milan].”

When asked if Juventus need to reinforce in January, Chiellini said: “Quagliarella can't play in Europe, Amauri and Iaquinta are hurt.

“If everyone is available, then we don't need reinforcements, but every area of the team can be improved.

“I don't believe in a big signing, only some adjustments.”

Ibra hails Chiello as toughest opponent
Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic claims Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini is the 'roughest and toughest' opponent he has ever faced in his career.

The 29-year-old Sweden international spent a year playing alongside Chiellini at Juventus before leaving for Inter in 2006, which is when they became rivals.

Looking ahead to this weekend's clash between Juventus and Milan, Ibrahimovic said: “Yes, it's true. For me, Chiellini is the roughest and toughest marker, the one that I suffer the most.

“He is really difficult to play against. He doesn't leave you any space. He doesn't let you breathe.

“But I like 'Chiello'. He is loyal, a real fighter. The duels between us have always been beautiful.

“I came here to win and I guarantee you that Milan will win everything,” he concluded.
