Dottore doesn't mean PhD though, in Italy they call anyone with a college degree dottore, it's a cultural custom more than an academic title from times when college degrees were rare and there were few dottori walking the streets.

What he studied was probably similar to what our Dusan is studying.

I'm in my 6th year of working on the PhD. It would have been incredible if a 26 year old professional footballer got it before I do :D
