All his agent says is this:

“He wants to stay at Juve, but his contract needs adjusting. Giorgio is a big player and he should earn as such. We hope to resolve the situation before the World Cup.”

I'm sure that's what his agent is thinking as well.

As the old guard disappears, Chiellini's status within the squad increases.

Based on performance and value to the team, he deserves to be the highest paid on the team
He is 25 years old, already established in the Azzurri team, and widely regarded as one of the best centrebacks in the world game. The difference in how hard to beat we become, or how easy we capitulate, when Buffon and Chiellini don't play or do play, is blatant and clearly illustrates how important they both are to our cause.

Everyone's form this season has been poor, but those two have maintainted more respectable levels of output, and also spirit.

For me, he is one of two world class players in our squad. And should be paid accordingly...His wages of 1.5 should at least be doubled this summer, with future rises dependent on his loyalty, leading to him earning the same, as the established veterans earn now, such as Buffon, DP, Trez...in the future.

Like previously mentioned, Chiellini and Buffon will be the faces of Juventus once ADP retires. There shouldn't be no hesitation from the the board whatsoever to give him what he wants, 4 million a season is not to much to ask for a player of his caliber.
