ya right sell our only hope in this fucked up defence....lol theres no defender available that has chiellinis strengh....kjaer? bochetti and co? great youngster but nothing more... chiellini is a proven killer.......

Because Chiellini is 10 times more important than Robinho could ever be to us. Have you seen our defense? We put out Legrottaglie and Cannavaro last match, imagine how scary it would be if we let our best outfield player go for the rest of the season. With Buffon/Chiellini we have great foundations to build the rest of the defense around, and all we would have to do is purchase someone like Kjaer and we have an excellent center back pair for about 10 seasons. Letting go of that for Robinho and no cash at all? Yeah I think that's crazy. Especially when we aren't really in a bad situation for attacking players.
I just can't see any positive from selling our best players who are completely settled into the team and the lifestyle. Same last season with Gigi to Man City rumours. I found it odd when people started criticising him (not that I'm accusing you of doing that), and putting a price on him, then quickly eating their words when they realised not one goalkeeper in the world could have pulled off some of the saves he has this season. And now we've had a taste of what our defense is like without Chiellini (against last place in the table :/).
