Well, what I really like about him is that he doesn't have to lay down to win the ball back/defend. So many defenders dive whenever they can and while it looks good I prefer defenders that only tackle as last resort or when they are 100% sure it is necessary and the chance of success is certain. Cuadrado was exposed way too often because he was a converted RB, so he dove and dove which results too often with a set piece or an opportunity for attacker to escape. Since the defender is down the attacker can start running even before the defender has a chance to get up on his feet. Nesta, Maldini, and Thiago Silva were beautiful defenders and didn't have to rely on tackles. Now, Danilo is nowhere near them obviously. But he's good defending one on one at least.
