lol So Danilo is bad all of a sudden because he gave the ball away at 0-2 in the 90th minute?
Na not really. Never really rated him. Solid but we need more than solid. Would never have swapped him for a dynamic, creative Cancelo which this club needs far more than a “solid” Danilo.

Can't remember for sure but didn't Cancelo want no parts of staying with Juve? If so no doubt good foresight on knowing Turin wasn't the place for him.

I find it ironic and sad that even if Danilo has been probably our second best defender for 2 seasons now, people just dont rate him enough and keep him out of their next season starting eleven predictions.
And their weak argument is that he 'failed' for other clubs in the past.

Lol any fullback that doesn't know how to attack (cross, take his man one on one, having good technique, good passing(for through balls)), is a mediocre fullback, if he only knows how to defend(granted Danilo isn't too great at that also).
He is more useful as a cm or as a CB than a RB. At RB he is an mediocre overpaid player.

PS that's why he failed in 2 attacking clubs (Real and City), because he is bang average in that department.

he’s essentially a CB in allegris system. Take one look at his heat map and you’ll see he spends little time in the other teams half. He’s essentially just cover for Cuadrado in the offensive phase. It’s why I find the comps to Cancelo so annoying. It’d be like comparing Barzagli to Dani Alves. If you want all your fullbacks to attack, take it up with Mister. His tactics do no favors. And if it’s not Misters fault, it’s managements for not finding more modern fullbacks. Last guy I’m blaming is Danilo. He’s been a rock in his role.
