Danilo offensively might be the most predictable RB since Grygera or something.

Either he crosses even with a guy right in front, plays the 1-2 cause he can’t beat his man or back-passes.

We lose so many dimensions to our attack versus having another technical fullback who can fill in for Cuads.
We could still do A LOT worse, all things considered with the rest of our squad.

He's not an offensive fullback by any means, but less than a week ago he had a nice assist:

I did read. And Cancelo in that season had 5 assists. Next season Danilo had 0. We are not in 1990 where fullbacks only defend.
Only defend? They need to at least try. Cancelo was too stupid to try. City is a team that keeps the ball much longer than we can, and it flatters defenders too. Replace Danilo with Cancelo and you'll get less assists (to who?) and more goals given up.
He's a good player for a certain team and tactic. We can't be like that.

In cancelos defence everybody always brings up the Ajax game but he cost a home goal and assisted an away goal iirc.

Net positive. At any rate he's maturing and is way better than any full back we have even though selling him wasn't a bad call, replacing him with Danilo who only ever looks good as a CB was another piece of terrible business

We accept a part exchange from a mega rich club for a player we didn't need instead of hard cash.

His assist and mistake came both in the away tie. He assisted right before HT and made that mistake right after HT.
