that's what i thought earlier. but then i remember seeing this movie: Murder in the First

and now i know that doing that would be as equaling sick as killing somebody
Yeah but killing the murder would just be an escape to all his problems. Its better being dead than having to deal to the whole world knowing what you did, your concience, and the fact that you could have not done it.

That's not truth dj.
The worst thing is, that MANY of them will be never caught.
So they feel safe.
so if they cant get caught, what's the point debating on how to kill them?

Since I started this thread I guess I should throw in my tu'ppence worth.

My opinion is simple...I'm against capital punishment, but life should mean life - with hard labour - and no parol

Too often murderers are released - just to kill again:frown:

However, I'm sure if my child was brutally killed my views would change

I didnt follow whole convo btw ;)
CAPITAL PUNISHMENT IS WRONG. from any point of view. last week my lecturer told us about that. her argument were convincing. they would convince most people in here. i just need a better english and to tell that to them eye to eye. when you feel, not just read some pointless post.

Cause I said: MANY of them wont be caught, not: NONE of them will be caught ;)
And second: I guess we talk about people who was caught ;)

And what if I disagree? ;):D

We must have had the same lecturers :sigh:
But they wont convince everyone, they made me think more, but they didnt convince me, that capital punishment is totally wrong.

    I said that here before:
If you ask me about capital punishment: I cant decide, if I support it or no.
I dont think it's the best way of punishing, but sometimes, when some crimes are utterly cruel, disgusting - arghhh...

I really cant say that I support any of sites here in 100%..

    Re: fli

    I dont agree with that.
Cause by killing the guitly part, you actually solved the problem: you punished individual person for individual crime and you prevented other people from such dangerous person.

Society has nothing to do with that in this moment.

What about: to kill all of them, one after one? ;)

Seriously: it's very common excuse: society.
In many cases this is the truth, but as final result: it's not society who kills, it's indivdual person. Sometimes it's very common line of defense in courts: society made him like that. But finally: he used the gun, knife, not society. So take resposibility to what you did.

I'm nto saying that society has nothing to do with that, but it's not good to make such excuses for crimes.
Specially, that to many of them: pedophiles, rapers - what they have to do with bad society? Nothing.

i agree with Fli, the matter should be solved from the roots of the problem. but it's ofcouz easier said than done
I think we talk about capital punishment, so we consider facts: what we should do, if someone already did sth?
What we think about this narror issue.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

But yes to what you (and fli) said about roots.

most of murders in lithuania are like that. people are drinking, they start fighting, one gets a knife, bam... we have a body. if society can be cured from those asocial people....

besides, killing is a very common solution.

I'm with you on this one Vit. I can't seem to decide either. I mean it's hard, both sides have very good points. I agree that it's not the best way to punish but like you said, some crimes committed are really cruel and the killers do deserve Capital Punishment.

Well, exaggerated punishments will make people behave themselves. And if they dont do, then off to jail they are

what if society has been a real ***** to a man, and he's had enough? what if he's wife dumped him and kicked him out of his house and he gets fired for being late for his job at a gas station since he has no house to get ready right away..and then he soons runs out of money and cant get a job since his parent couldnt afford/give a fek to give him a decent education.

So he looses it and just kills somebody out of madness and insanity or sth like that..yes he killed somebody, but he's not entirely to blame

of couz this is a rare case..but...
