Well, I think more than anything, the masterstroke Capello pulled off was inserting Pesotto in to midfield. I just felt that struck the balance we needed on the nite, giving us a little more fluidity in attack, but ensuring the defense dint have to cope without any help from midfield. And most importantly, it was also the fact that Pessotto was the least expected to fill in to Ned's shoes. He dide create quite a nuisance in their half. And i for one felt he was the real unsung hero in the game.

this is the difference between capello and lippi , capello uses tactics to fit with every game , while lippi the same all the time

UEFA states that teams from the same country will not play togather at this stage , so we will not play milan or inter , maybe on the semi finals:D
Are you 100% sure!?
Would rock.

Man, Milan would be so tough! I predict:

Milan - Inter
Juventus - Lyon
PSV - L'pool
Chelsea - Bayern

The Milan derby would be interesting, and I hope Inter really kill off Milan in both leagues. Anyway all the other teams were be ok to me since all our competitors will be tricky

How can you predict an open draw? You might end up being correct, but isn't that just a total stab in the dark?

I'm sure we'll all agree that Capello did a good job tonight and praise him for playing with 3 strikers, but IMO it was another detail that won us the match: The fact that he dared, for the first time this season, to play with just one defensive midfielder, something I've been wanting to see for a long time. If this game has convinced Capello that we can play with just one defensive midfielder without suffering in defence too much, it leaves a lot of interesting options for the future, for example playing two real wingers with a real playmaker, Nedved on the left and Oli on the right, and Camo behind the strikers for example, and it would give us much more versitality in attack and help us create more and bring some flair and creativity to the match. We would be a bit weaker defensivly, but IMO we could make up for it by holding the ball longer and making our opponents defend.

Your thoughts?
Very ture..

I agree with Martin, that it was because of the situation that Cap decided to go with only Emerson because Tachi wasn't fit enough, and Cap doesnt seem to trust Appiah anymore as he usually losses his balance and the oppenent start a counter attack.

Apart from that, I think Cap was spot on with everything that went on througout the match. (i was calling for Zala's head before he scored to be substituted with Olivera:D, which evenually happened).

Camoranesi is playing brilliant football, his ball control and technique seems to be perfect. Imo, if he continuos like this untill the end of the season, he should be nominated for Fifa player of the year award. Now i know this sounds like an exaggeration after the Madrid win, but you got to admit that he's been somewhat special this season.

The free role that was given for Camoranesi deserves a clap by itself. Many members here have asked for that throughout the season, finally Capello used it and it was a real success. Bravo Capello, keep up the good work

I noticed that people always defend del piero ! it's certain that delpiero did well for the last weeks and he did well on the first half too but the sub from cappelo was genuis because IMO he noticed that we need some big shapes above the net and trezegol has a good heading so he's done it but with his foot this time ! and this is a real boost for him !

PS : ( joke)
raul gonzalez says : " we'll beat juvé " and trezegol responds : " Ooops, I did it again " !

forza juvé
