Capello: the first 100 days (1 Viewer)

How do you assess Capello's work so far?

  • He does a fantastic job.

  • So far it's ok, but I expected more.

  • There isn't any real difference between Capello's and Lippi's Juve.

  • He is overrated. I'm not convinced by him.

I voted for option #1

Especially compared to last season, I think he's done a great job, especially in terms of our defence
Have you seen how much fouls we need?

He's great so far.

I think now is the crucial time. If we can reach January without Trez and stay 1st in Serie A, and good results in CL, then he'll have done a great job.

Forza Capello!

if you look at the results and the manner of our displays this season, there is little tangible difference from capello and lippi's juve.

a solid defence, the usual good start to the season and a compact team overall still smacks of the traces lippi left behind.

I didn't wanna open a new thread for this, so I thought I'd post it here (since it has to do with Capello's job at Juve) :

Juve hail Coach Capello
Monday 18 October, 2004

Juventus boss Fabio Capello has been praised by the club following their impressive start to the season.

"We knew him well and were certain that he would bring out the best in our players," Vice-president Roberto Bettega told Tuttosport.

"The fact that we started the season before anyone else, given our Champions’ League involvement, gave him more time to figure things out."

Capello was surprisingly appointed by the Turin giants after Marcello Lippi left to wait for the Azzurri call.

Juventus are currently the League leaders after picking up 16 points from six games, in which they have conceded just two goals.

However, there could be a few problems around the corner given that David Trezeguet will have shoulder surgery on Tuesday.

"We couldn’t predict his injury, if we had then we wouldn’t have sold Fabrizio Miccoli to Fiorentina," added the Juventus legend. "But we are certain that Trezeguet will be back to full fitness in January."

In the Frenchman’s absence, the fans are expecting Alessandro Del Piero and Marcelo Zalayeta to deliver.

"We still have great faith in Del Piero," continued Bettega. "He should just remain calm and the rest will follow.

"Zalayeta? He can adapt to certain situations and we shouldn’t forget what he has done for this club in the past."

Del Piero is now back in training after injury and could feature in Tuesday’s Champions’ League clash against Bayern Munich.

He's done a fantastic job. Specially in the defence.
Also, now with Lippi as national coach, both Juve and the Italian National side can be successful!
