Thats the problem....its been a long time when we last won CL...and i guess many many fans want it....and i would prefer CL win any day instead of 3 or 4 or even more scudettos....

I just worry that those sub tactics will end our chanses in europe.....
right now its against brugge or rapid(mutu, zala, dp)...but think if we need goals against teams like chelsea, barca....and have those last 10 minutes.....

Capello also has started to make subs in seria a somewhere 80 minutes played....like against lazio...come on, its not normal....and i am afraid, if we need a goal, then cap still makes his subs late..... and he keeps that going always....i think if we might met someone like chelsea with mourinho, then we would be outclassed by tactics...because capello will put his subs in 80 minute.....

I think it is the problem with tactics, if u consider substitutions as a tactic. Of course it is not normal, look at Benitez, he introduced his subs at around the hr mark and his Liverpool is able to attack like there is no tomorrow in the finals of the Toyota Cup, this is something that is seriously lacking in capello's tactics. In CL teams have to depend for themselves and fight for the title. With the current tactics, it isn't come to me as a surprise if Rikkard were to expose Juventus.

The only thing is that Capello always stick to 4-4-2, and the players in the position r always the same, Capello is too predictable, and it is no surprise that even Benitez can outplay us with an injury-stricken squad and Gerrard having so much fun in juz 45 minutes at Anfield. We have to change the tactics according to the team that we play against, and we MUST change the tactics when we r a goal down, not patiently as if any miracles will come.

Perhaps Capello is not a risk taker and that is why he has been so consistant with league titles. Thats why he is reluctant to take a player out until he is definately sure that nothing further will develop thus taking the player out in the last 10 minutes.

But I see it the same way as you guys. Cap has his preferances and they may not be all great but I think not even Mourinho could take Cap's postion. Mourinho brought to of his defensive guys and made plenty of changes during these pas two seasons, and boy were they costly changes.
You can't say Cap took Emerson with him because you have to REMEMBER it is EMERSON who wanted to MOVE HERE FIRST! thas why he rejected Real Madrid. Cap made the team that he had into a team that he wanted without going out on a spending spree. Sure he didn't a have a bad team to begin with but surely Mourinho didn't either.
I only do wish he realize that the Champions League takes more aggresive playing to win than the league games. But against Lazio I saw that Capello is not satisfied with a draw and he did try to push many forward.
Lets see how he handles us in Europe, and if we win, I will have no doubt he is the greatest coach.

Every manager constructs a new team....but with chelsea, he has also a lot of money and there for can buy more new players to make a good team.....now you might say, well capello didnt construct a new team, he had the players what he had.....but he also took emerson with him to juve....so already one player....

You said we win even playing afwully....but why we are playing afwully??? what i really dont like about capello, really is that our performances hasnt been that good always, even with 3 points.....ok, you might say, what do you want, after all points only counts....but i think our teamplay lacks of confidents and sometimes creativity or should i say agressive stile....

Well, there other options, you know.....look at Milan, when they play awfully, normally they loose games...or Inter, that sometimes loose even playing great....

We has been a conservative, equilibrated, defensive team who prioritises discipline, physical condition and effort over flair, creativity and fantasy as long as i can recall, and i been following Juve for more than twenty years.

A great italian coach, Enzo Bearzot, was asked if he prefers a team who plays beutiful football or a team that wins all, an he repied:
If you make a team that plays beutiful, you will be always remembered by a generation of your followers team...

Actually, i think capello is a little bit overrated by media....sometimes i see some articles of him as a master tactican, don fabio....bla bla bla.....but i dont know.....

What i want to say is, in seria a....there are so many games, a lost or draw against team like lazio or palermo isnt that crucial! because there are so many games....but in CL, all games are VERY important.......

Capello won his CL titels, when cl was a differant competition....there where only the league winners fighting, so few teams....and milan definetly was one of the best.....Today, the competition is larger....and there are more top teams.....even then capello lost to ajax.......

I think its the age...he stucks with his usually working lineup/tactics, what work in seria a......

well, i dont like to talk about milan, because i dislike them after 2003, but i wouldnt say they lose when they play badly....i have to say, they are rather a lucky side...look last season, still they got to final....even 2002/2003 season a late goal against ajax.....even this year in group stage..... they used to be a team who had a good defens...now they only seem to have success thanks to forwards or luck......do all that respect to maldini...something is wrong with milan defens....but i dont like them, so who cares

Juventus Coach Fabio Capello has opened the door for a sensational summer move to Manchester United.

The former Roma boss has enjoyed a fantastic spell in Turin with the Bianconeri, leading the outfit to Lo Scudetto last term and they are on course to retain the title this year, with the Champions League also up for grabs.

But all of this success may come at a price for the Old Lady of Italian football – their Coach.

“To be a Coach of Manchester United would be a dream come true,” he told the Daily Star. “United are a great club and they have a historic Coach. For me, Sir Alex Ferguson has the maximum respect.

“I am very happy with Juventus and I want to win the title and the Champions League and we are serious contenders for both.

“Always there are rumours about me being linked with Real Madrid and Manchester United. At the moment I want to end my project with Juventus and see them through to the summer.

“But I would never discard a chance to work in England if the circumstances were right. The Premiership is a very attractive championship and I would love to prove that I can work in England as well as in Italy and Spain."

Capello, widely recognised as one of the top tacticians in world football, has previously worked abroad with Real Madrid. He led the outfit to La Liga, but left after one season.

Despite being heavily linked with his former club, it would now appear that the Red Devils are at the top of Capello’s wish-list – although he insists no deal is yet in place. “I have not had any offers from the directors of Manchester United,” he concluded.

Moggi denies Capello’s Real link Wednesday 28 December, 2005

Juventus director general Luciano Moggi has once again emphatically rejected speculation that Fabio Capello may be lured by the Real Madrid post.

“Don’t believe the stories about Capello’s future. A move to Real is out of the question, he’s staying with us,” reiterated the Bianconeri’s transfer mogul.

Last week the Turin club signed a new television deal with Italian broadcasters Mediaset, thought to be worth just under £150m. The first use for that money is expected to be a lucrative contract offer to Capello, who is also being linked with Manchester United.

Capello is contracted until 2007, but Moggi will hope to persuade the tactician to commit until 2009 and is believed to be ready to offer as much as £4m per season.

Moggi is already set to announce the continuation of his ‘Triade’ partnership with Antonio Giraudo and Roberto Bettega and the addition of Capello would leave the Old Lady in a strong position to enter the January market.

Amongst the Bianconeri’s alleged targets are Bayern Munich’s French defender Willy Sagnol, Real Betis winger Joaquin and Roma’s Amantino Mancini. However, given Juve’s eight-point lead at the top it is unlikely that Capello will call for many reinforcements before June.
