I fully remember Lippi's last season with us in 2003-2004. Our defense was full of holes and we had given away a club-record number of goals by late in the season. We bowed out of the CL in the first elimination round to Depor without even so much as scoring a goal. Roma spanked us 4-0. There was not a lot to be proud of that season. All due respect to Lippi, it was his time to leave.

Capello came and while he did play players out of position, while he frustrated the hell out of fans and players with double-DM defensive tactics, I was expecting us to take multiple years to rebuild out of Lippi's last season with us. Despite our miserable CL underperformances, we at least won a couple of elimination rounds. And in Serie A, we were in first place for the entire two years Capello was coach and set Serie A records as such.

We're blind if we think that this squad could have matched that outcome with Lippi still at the helm. Lippi is dearer to my heart as a Juventus coach without question. But the blinders are on about how much Lippi helped us and how much Capello harmed us.
are you sure capello is the only one to thank here ;) if we go to b and they take those 2 titles away whats the point to give credit to capello if moggi is behind the success. :confused2

Capello leaves not one single tear will b spent for such a man! He has shown what kind of man he is!

na ill give him 2 tears for his 2 scudetto wins....... i think he is the guy to turn around real madrid and whip those punks into shape. of course once he picks his starting 11 i feel sorry for everyone else because he wont change anything about his line-up throughout the season. he is a crative individual ;)

Good Luck!? You are joking. We hate Madrid, and Capello wants us to go down so he can cherry pick our players. I hope he chokes bigtime! Real are the greatest club team in the world and its my job to make the the greatest again. YOU FAKE ITALIAN!!! Baldini too. Just you wait when Didier Deschamps gets our youthful juve up and running. Hope to see you in the C.L 2008/09 season.
