cannavaro shined in serie a in juve under capello's command,at inter he wasnt very good.

2004 when Lippi left he already had states a year before after the CL final between Juve and Milan that He'll play for one more year to win the CL, he said the truth, he stated when he's leaving, unlike that crap....He didn't left us suddenly without a reason.....and Plus what crisis are you talking about???? There was never crisis, not under Lippi though...2004 was bad, but thats no were to crisis.

Lippi once left in the middle of a season when we weren't playing that good, believe Juve was uppermidtable position. That's when we hired Ancelotti. Can't remember the season though.

As much as I respect Lippi, he has a point. People are making him out like he should be cannonized and Capello demonized. Lippi wasn't as good as we remember him now, IMO, and Capello isn't quite as bad as many make him out.

Anyways... Capello plays with players out of posistion........like Mutu who could have been explosive when Ibra was shite........ Capello kept benching a clearly in Form del Piero.... to start Ibra every single game. He always did dumb susbtitutions..... in a great couploe of games.........
His defensive mentality and the lack of Charisma were 2 factors that u could see and feel.

He definitely was NOT the coach for Juve. He maintained that record of inbatibility inJuventus.... but that was mainly because we had cannavaro and thuram in defense..... we had vieria and we had a Del piero that came in in the minute 78 in most of the cases to save his sorry ass.

Sorry Engonga but his curriculum doesnt save his shamefull job in Juventus

Unfortunately, not all footballers or managers are loyal. There are a few examples like Totti, Maldini and Del Piero who play for love of the club but for every one of those, there are 10,000 of the opposite like Capello

I have to agree with Romanisto here. Now, I'm okay with Capello leaving, there's much more worse stuff to worry about. Sure, he won two scudetti, but in the end you have to wonder how much of it was due to his (stubborn) coaching, and how much it was because of the players...

and no, I'm not talking about Moggi's alledged "meddlings".

I do hope he doesn't take many of our favorite players to Real Madrid. I do hate Real Madrid.

We are praising Lippi now, but we have to remember that in that time we were very angry with his tactics too... one of them was to field an off form del piero when we had Miccoli and Divaio on the bench in better form.

I fully remember Lippi's last season with us in 2003-2004. Our defense was full of holes and we had given away a club-record number of goals by late in the season. We bowed out of the CL in the first elimination round to Depor without even so much as scoring a goal. Roma spanked us 4-0. There was not a lot to be proud of that season. All due respect to Lippi, it was his time to leave.

Capello came and while he did play players out of position, while he frustrated the hell out of fans and players with double-DM defensive tactics, I was expecting us to take multiple years to rebuild out of Lippi's last season with us. Despite our miserable CL underperformances, we at least won a couple of elimination rounds. And in Serie A, we were in first place for the entire two years Capello was coach and set Serie A records as such.

We're blind if we think that this squad could have matched that outcome with Lippi still at the helm. Lippi is dearer to my heart as a Juventus coach without question. But the blinders are on about how much Lippi helped us and how much Capello harmed us.
