Only 22 English players have ever played in Italian top leagues. Most were rubbish players in England so they were hardly going to be a success in Italy. Only a very few good English players have played in Italy.

Why don't English players like moving around? I wonder what pleasures that (apologies) cold weather holds for them.

How many English players who are successful in Italy anyway?
And how many players successful in Italy have made it in the EPL? I think the last (and maybe only) was Zola...although De Matteo was "okay"...

When I made this thread I didnt expect a full on debate about league superior "again"...play nice! :D

Well Ravanelli, Vialli, DiMateo, Lombardo and DiCaneo.
    Di Canio!!!

Ravanelli? Are you kdding? The biggest mercenary in Premiership history?

I wasnt talking solely Italian players, I was talking Serie A players as a whole.

I will never say Di Canio is a good player, as far as I am concerned he should of retired after, extremely comically "pushing" over that ref! :D

By the way, is your name a tribute to the player who twice scored the "undeserved" winner against Liverpool for Chelsea?
