I think it is really bad to get both Milito and Cannavaro, two leaders in the defence might cause trouble about who to orchester the line.

What about Canna and Nesta they are both leaders but have done great together at the national team, so I really dont see how thats gonna be a problem??

I don't see it that way at all. Besides, if we got Cannavaro I'm pretty sure he'd be the leader as he's the most experienced and worked with Gigi for years. That way Milito could adopt and learn from the best. I'd be thrilled if we got both.

well they have both worked together for years, a partnership that doesnt JUST develop, it takes years to create a bond as special as canna and nesta. in terms of milito and canna, the time isnt on our time

True. But no mather who we buy we'll have a new defence next season and they'll need to create that bond you speak of, so I just dont see any problems with it being two "leaders" although time wouldn't be on their side. I just think Canna would settle in right away and could help mature a player like criscito.

I respect the fact that many people dont want canna back because of what happend last year, but if we could get him for a fair price and he would accept a paycut I think he would be a very good solution for next season and could make an instant impact just like he did when we got him from Binter.

Realistically speaking, i.e. past emotions aside...how much would he cost? Would we subract the payments remaining on his sale from last year to get him? Also, would we really go for both Milito and Cannavaro or, either or?
I hope either or. They are too short to start next to each other.

there is no chance we could pay him the same amounts he gets at Real!
Yes, but there's also no chance that goal.com is actually saying the truth ;-)

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that Canna is NOT coming. It's summer, the journalists are bored so they write a lot of BS and us fans are bore, too, so we actually believe it.

I think that in the past three months both Cobolli Gigli and Cannavaro have made it pretty clear that Fabio is not coming back.

Why is Secco offering Cannavaro 3 year contract? and why would we pay Cannavaro as much as Madrid paying him?

All this cash can bring in someone like Chivu.....I'd take Chivu ATM anyday anytime over Cannavaro.

come on secco, get us either milito or cannavaro..i dont really care,as both have their advantages, and one other defender(meira, barzagli, pepe) to partner either one of them,i wish i knew secco personally..so i could just tell him who to buy or even just get some idea who he has planned to buy for juve,hehehhehe..

doesn't anyone here knows secco,or secco's families or friends..??

Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli doesn’t believe Fabio Cannavaro will complete a sensational return from Real Madrid.

The defender was paired with his former club over the weekend, after general manager Jean Claude Blanc and sporting director Alessio Secco reportedly held negotiations with agent Enrico Fedele.

“Returns are always difficult,” said Cobolli Gigli. “We are obviously grateful to those who helped us reach the top in the past, but Juventus must now look to the future.”

Cannavaro is contracted to the Merengues until 2009, but could leave the outfit in advance after Fabio Capello was axed by the Spanish giants on Thursday.

Cobolli Gigli also confirmed that Gabriel Milito of Real Zaragoza is a target for the Bianconeri, although the capture is far from being finalised.

“We definitely need a central defender and we are negotiating for Milito, but there is still a significant difference between the request and the offer and I don’t think it will be easy to conclude the deal.

“Secco is working on the issue, but it is too early to know how this story will end,” explained the Juventino, who also denied that striker Raffaele Palladino is for sale.

“He is one of the pivots on which Coach Claudio Ranieri wants to build the new Juventus,” concluded the President.
