Campaign on this sucks balls for one reason; teammate AI on hardened mode or above. On the lesser difficulties it makes no difference as you can just steam through, but on harder difficulty it really is horrific to have to face a whole battalion of Viet Cong shooting you from every angle with people in your squadron just stood at set points looking at the ground whilst the enemy riddles them and you with bullets. I went into one room with SIX of my team ready to man a machine gun, and one Vietnamese was SAT IN THE CORNER with them and killed me when I walked in.

Easily the worst AI I have seen on any game, ever.

AI on my old Commodore 64 was superior, what can be worse than a computer character not being able to recognise an enemy? They just stand and do nothing, not even a basic interaction?

Nothing can match the hype, but this is beyond belief. I haven't played all levels and it isn't the same on many previous ones, but definitely buggy.

Online the only problem I have had is with the random spawning, they went from one extreme to the other. Now you don't get opponents sat camping at the recognised spawn points, you just get people spawning right next to you instead. How hard is it to set spawns so you are a certain amount of distance away from enemy players? I have a video of me firing a Valkyrie from a secluded spot, and as it had just hit an enemy player spawned inches behind me and stabbed me...

Thanks for clearing that up ;) You would have thought by now maybe with the billions it generated they could fix things that other games and developers have no problem with.

Were you playing Free for All or was it a team game?

I played for the first time friday night and didn't run into that issue. Of course I was only playing Team Deathmatch.

TD, on Mercenary. As I said, it's only a minor gripe as it works both ways, but very stupid on a killstreak. On a small map like Nuketown I can understand it, but not on others.

For me its been the exact opposite, I hated the random spawns in MW2 that would stick players behind me but I like the new system in Black Ops. I haven't noticed any problems with it.
