I disagree about it being a big step up from MW2. The spawn system is improved and there are some cool new additions but it isn't really much better.

The graphics are better, the diversity in maps also is a plus and simply the gameplay. There are certain things that are a downgrade from MW2 as the knife throwing and the shotgun issues you and Aaron mentioned and on top of that there's that famous damage increasing perk they removed. But all in all, I think it really is better than MW2.

Nothing can match the hype, but this is beyond belief. I haven't played all levels and it isn't the same on many previous ones, but definitely buggy.

Online the only problem I have had is with the random spawning, they went from one extreme to the other. Now you don't get opponents sat camping at the recognised spawn points, you just get people spawning right next to you instead. How hard is it to set spawns so you are a certain amount of distance away from enemy players? I have a video of me firing a Valkyrie from a secluded spot, and as it had just hit an enemy player spawned inches behind me and stabbed me...

THis has been fixed.

Indeed. When I first tried it out, I didn't like it. For some reason that day the lags were unstoppable and the whole online experience was fucked up for my liking. But after a couple of days later I don't seem to have that problem anymore and certainly the game is a big step up from MW2. Very enjoyable and the graphics and the changes they made to game play it self helps too.

It is better than MW2, I went back and tried MW2 after and unlike the previous three COD's I didn't like it.

Agree with Kyle. MW2 has much more realism and general team-play. (although COD in general is very unrealistic, AK-47 being strong, M4 having less strength than the M16A4, the M16 in Black Ops having a three-shot burst)

you gotta give Noobs a chance,fuck i only play sporadically,am only on level 24 (i think) and still get my ass kicked regularly. sometimes i think it would be better setting myself up with a sniper rifle and camp somewhere for easy kills but that would suck all the enjoyment of running around shooting things

Run 'n' gun is the only way to play most games in COD, the rest is boring.

Being hit by any kind of launcher or someone camping over and over is the saddest thing. If I see someone camping I make a point of going after them until they leave the lobby.

I haven't played this for ages though, if I play online now it's AC:B or Fallout:NV (finished).

aye i am getting better,3 games running today i was in the top 3 with a kill/death ratio of 2:1 which is a huge improvement on my usual. at present i still die more often than i kill but steady improvement

When I played a lot, about 8 or 12 hours a day, it was not uncommon for my worst game to be 36/7

I'm playing single player but the lag is terrible, I tried a couple of methods to fix it but still sucks.
