"I absolutely did not expect this sentence," said Maurilio Prioreschi, one of Moggi's attorneys. "We have only lost the first round, we will try to turn the situation around in appeal.

"We will do everything until we have justice. Moggi is devastated, he does not understand how he has been given this sentence.

"We now have 90 days to know the grounds for the decision and prepare our defence for the appeal."

Juve weren't on trial here.

We can use the verdict to our benefit.

It proves the disparity of treatment by the FIGC.

We'll beat them in the end! Forza Juve!! :flag2:

zuliani - Surveys done poorly, made by the same witnesses disavowed prosecution, calls cut, gone, forgotten, and the result .. 'a sentence .. I'm perplexed: and' only the first instance many times .. going on the judgments have been reversed. 29 remain to us that we know that squad! Having said that the judgments are respected and proceeds to call! (google translate)

Yeah, but don't you see? The only way they can find Inter and co. guilty is if the bar for culpability is set where it was set tonight. Agnelli has in his hands a report from the former prosecutor that Facchetti and Meani and those people were HEAVILY involved in all of this.

If that kind of involvement would've been cleared in Napoli tonight, then Facchetti & co. would also be innocent.

So yeah, you're exactly right! And that's why the verdict does us good.
But if all the evidence we've seen wasn't enough to prove there was no moggi cupola, how is it going to be enough when juve want to go for inter?

And I still don't get how Moggi coming out innocent wouldnt have helped us anyway. Innocent = no Moggi cupola. No cupola = Juventus won fair and square. Surely this means we were convicted wrongly and could still therefore go for all the compensation we are after? What am I missing?

Today’s decision stated Juventus’ non involvement with the matters charged. The Club was taken to the court of Naples as civilly liable entity by way of objective liability according to Art. 2049 Italian Civil Code. The decision emerged from the result of a thorough hearing and from the analysis of all evidences, clashed with the reality of an inaccurate sports law which severely penalized Juventus, the sole club damaged due to the removal of two titles - following the victories achieved on the pitch - with consequent relegation and related extensive losses. Juventus will continue their legitimate campaigns in order to restore the equality of treatment.

Yeah, well, Moggi being cleared would've been the best scenario. I agree. Because then we probably could've sued for damages as well. We can't do that now.

It's just that I, personally, gave up on the issue of damages and compensation and whatnot a long time ago. I was merely trying to shift some of the negative focus in the thread towards the fact that Moggi as guilty, strengthens AA's arguments in the case we've already launched.

The case we've already launched is based upon "if Moggi was guilty, so were these motherfuckers".

Now, if Moggi had been proven innocent tonight, the club would've been forced to change it's stance a little bit.

I probably got a little carried away, because what happened in Naples tonight is not a perfectly ideal outcome. But it's not all bad either, considering the case we've already launched. In fact, the Naples-verdict does no harm to that case whatsoever. Because that case is not primarily about the damages, it's about the 29th scudetto and that's it.

Juve now get to say: "Moggi guilty? OK, well, I got a big-ass case file proving what Facchetti, Meani etc. did. So they must be guilty too. And seeing as they are, we would like our scudetti back, please."
