Being more aggressive would have sent a signal that they will not take this lying down. The Agnelli family are very connected and influential. All this talk of Morratti taking advantge of our vulnerability in the abscense of Gianni and Umberto is nonsense. The Agnelli's are full of elites and royals (and have been for over a hundred years) with billions to their name and a business empire touching many things. If they threw their weight behind Juventus things would have been different.

It seems to me that this is much more complicated than first appeared . Having this trial running for over 5 years while Juve were punished back then for less than a 2 weeks doesn't always seem quite right to me. Even with all kind of sources proving Juve was acting no different than any other team back then and with many important persons related to this trial saying it was a big farce, we still can't get anywhere in this.

This makes me think that the Juve directors and people close to Juve themselves don't wish this trial to end and fear the truth. This all was a huge set up and it is clear in my eyes but having read many articles concerning this subject i'm feeling it's not Moratti but Elkanns who wanted Juve bankrupt in order to take full control of it.
