Juve Brass Baffled Over Del Piero Snub
Juventus heir Lapo Elkann has expressed his disbelief over Alessandro Del Piero's continued absence from the Azzurri squad.

The 33-year-old was snubbed yet again by Roberto Donadoni for the midweek friendly against Spain, despite him being in inspirational form in the Serie A this season with 11 goals and a series of assists.

“Alex is playing as if he were 20,” said Elkann. “He is in exceptional form at the moment.

“I don’t know Donadoni personally and if he doesn’t call Del Piero for the European Championships then I hope Italy do well anyway.

“I’d bring him, though. He has experience and the moment of magic that others lack. Sometimes I get the feeling the Federation pushes for some players and not for others.”

Del Piero was the shining star of Juve's dramatic victory against Inter last weekend, heralding memories of that brilliant youngster who had seemed set to conquer the world, until his horrific knee injury against Udinese in October 1998 cast a shadow over his career.

“It may not be the most elegant reaction," Elkann said of the match, "but I absolutely loved every second of it!

"I was only sorry for Massimo Moratti, who is a polite and kind person. The real derby for me is against Inter and Milan, so winning at San Siro as a Juventino always feels glorious.

“I speak as a fan and I was proud to see my team play so well. I had never seen such grit and tenacity.

“I won’t mention Inter, I just look at the results. We drew in Turin and won in Milan. One can make all kind of suppositions, but if you are good on the field then you win.”

This week in the GEA hearing Salvatore Fresi was questioned by the defense. He had originally claimed that he was threatened by Moggi and Gallo (his agent) that if he did not go to Perugia he would train alone in the mountains blah blah blah.

The defense asked him if how he reacted when the transfer finally went through…it turns out that he threw a party to celebrate his financial blessing of 2 million euros and even invited Gallo (the man who allegedly threatened him with Moggi).

Long story short Fresi’s credibility was shot. Why would you invite a man to your home (where Gallo spent the night) if he was threatening you?

Him being at Inter’s 100th birthday party likely didn’t help as he was pictured hugging Moratti.

This trial is turning out to be even more of a joke than Farsopoli.

    Ref Paparesta ban revoked
    Wednesday 9 April, 2008

Gianluca Paparesta and Salvatore Racalbuto have seen their suspensions revoked, so the former can return to refereeing immediately.

The Disciplinary Commission had suspended the two officials last year after they were named in the on-going Calciopoli investigation.

They were excluded from the legal process in March and so an appeal was started against the bans.

This evening the Federal Court accepted the motion and wiped out the bans, which had stopped Paparesta until May 15, 2008 and Racalbuto until April 15.

“I was confident that in time my innocence would be proved,” said Paparesta, who could effectively resume refereeing immediately.

“Unfortunately it took a while, but the important thing was to prove my situation.”

Mancini Gets Stuck In A Lift
Inter boss Roberto Mancini had to be rescued yesterday after he was stuck in a lift for 40 minutes.

The incident occurred yesterday before Mancini was due to appear on the popular Italian television programme, Striscia la Notizia.

The former Lazio boss was stuck in the lift for 40 minutes before he was eventually rescued, and was able to leave.

"Fortunately it did not happen on Sunday,” said Mancini when asked about the incident.

“Was I worried? No, but after all that time it did begin to get warm in there.

“Could this have been a message from [Luciano] Spalletti? Possibly, or it could have been from the Inter fans. Maybe they wanted me to stay in there longer,” he joked.

Mancini will be hoping for no such mishaps this Sunday when his Inter team take on Fiorentina at San Siro.

That basically just leaves De Santis as the only remaining suspended referee who was suspended for a game that had nothing to do with Juventus or Moggi. I wonder how people can continue to believe that farce of a trial?

    FUCK YOU PALAZZI!!!

an article on repubblica this morning write: Secco accused for having contacts with Moggi.

You read the article and it's not even true...apparently Secco talked to Genoa's Enrico Preziosi in the Criscito deal when we bought his half for 7.5m €. Preziosi was suspended so Secco couldn't have contacts with him.

Palazzi now accuses Secco and Bettega for this and also JUVENTUS.

GUESS WHAT? They'll suspend Secco for 3 months and if they take off only one single point to Juve we'll be out of any European cups if accused for that JOKE!!!

    How stupid is that?

Galliani made Milan's mercato when he was suspended remember? We all saw him go to Spain for the Oliveira deal and mr. Palazzi didn't do SHIT about it. What about those false finances and the other crap from the Milanese clubs? NADA!!!

FUCK YOU BASTARDS!!! Hell's gonna break lose if even a single fine is given to Juve for that immense farce.

the rules seems to be different when Juve's involved so I don't see us getting anything out of this.

We will probaly get a point deduction and our CL place will go the team ranked 5th... MILAN!! :disagree:

Hopefully they are just trying to put us off in our final games cos this seems to happen every season during the title run in.
