Guys, I think harping on the Juventus angle is not going to win any sympathy. We've also seen terrible officiating in recent matches such as Fiorentina-Torino and Inter-Parma. Even if there is some bias going on, what's worse is outright incompetence -- and that will probably do far more to damage the league in their own eyes.
Emphasizing the legitimacy of the competition, including the ridiculous calls in other matches this season, will go a lot further than to come off as whining Juventini who -- some would say -- are finally getting a taste of what everyone else has had to suffer through for decades. We will win no sympathy if we come out suggesting conspiracy and nothing else.
Great Idea, we need to try and get as much exposure as possible. If we got this letter posted on channel 4 or sumtin like that it would be amazing, so many ppl read that website and im sure it would go a long way.
Do not forget the channel 5 (uk) website and also Tuttosport (they are sure to support us)
Tuttosport has been taken over by the same cunts that run the Gazzetta and Corriere and teh writers that supported us have since left or been fired. Don't be so sure they will support us. I agree we should send it to them as well though.
Gsol, what do you think about AC Milan's implication on the matter?
They had no interest to provoke such a mess, as they seemed to be more influent than Moggi himself and everybody else put together
and they now seem almost as weak as we do.
But they dont protest, do not try to find any excuses, they know they suck and they admit it!
They know that they are lucky not to be in serie B, as we were.
But will they bounce back next year?
Are they a part of the nucleus that makes decisions in the post -Moggi era?
Is this why they do not protest?
If this is the case, then i think the situation will become much worse for us next year...
Foreign based writers won't work because in Italy few actually really understand english and even if things were translated it would be too difficult for a foreign writer to understand the amount of bullshit that exists in Italian football. Too much economic and political crap finds its way into the game for the average foreign writer to understand.
Milan were castrated. They lost nearly everything. Collina blew them right up until he was named designatore and now he serves others. Tulio "Mi-Lanese" used to be th ehead of AIA but he's out and now we have Gussoni (Moratti's buddy). Milan Ex President Carraro was the head of the FIGC and now he's gone and we have Abete (Moratti's buddy). Add the fact that Galliani was the league president and now is only the VP along with Mratti and you can see that their power fizzled away.
In my opinion they aren't complaining because the system is still profitable for them. They still controll all the TV rights and are still in the CL. Should they come 5th this year and Berlusconi were to be re-elected...we'll see some drastic movement from Milanello. Time will tell.
I'm not sure if I entioned this already but last night GLMDJ made an official announcement that they are taking the league to court for this season's activities. I do not know details yet but will keep people posted as I am informed.
Another update today regarding the GEA trial. I'm posting this to give people an idea of how stupid the trial is.
Today Fresi (former Juve defender) claimed in court that he was threatened by GEA and Moggi that if he didn't accept the transfer to Peruggia that he would have to train by himself in the alps and that he would never play. WOW!
Moggi was then interogated and claimed that in the previous season he had played only 9 times and that the team had invested in younger and better players meaning he would have played less. The coach didn't want him and neither did the rest of the team because he was a shit disturber in the locker room.
Does this even sound like and actual trial. A team can buy and sell players as they see fit. If Fresi didn't want to go to a certain club then he could have stayed and never played...so what?
