Since we’re still on this stupid topic I will state an opinion. I agree that the rule is dumb and that Inter shouldn’t pay for a mistake Materazzi made. I think he should be punished by the FIGC (not calling him up for the Euro or something). HOWEVER, so long as this rule exists it SHOULD be applied regardless of who sponsors what. I’m tired of rules being re-written for Inter. We saw it this year with the illegal contracts and again with the accounting fraud. For once I’d like to see them punished according to the rules that dictate the league. It won’t happen though so change the subject already.

A great debater isn't someone who can turn a phrase. It is a person who can back up a statement with something concrete. If in the end a person is at the wrong end of an argument, no matter what linguistic capabilities he thinks he has...he is still wrong.

I agree the foul was light but the whole tournament was like that. Referees where calling everything and he should have known that even minimal contact would have given the ref the option. In the end he scored but only after causing the penalty. There is a reason why FIFA and UEFA didn't give him honours like they did Cannavaro.
