i think you have to concede that it could still be true. you in fairness, dont have the first hand knowledge of the whole thing and you aren't an associate of moggi or anyone so as far as you know, the articles that yu have been reading could be tripe too. you cant put all your eggs in one basket as much as you want to believe it.
The big fishes are the masterminds of calciopoli and the ones that control the media and public opinion in Italy. Who would wonna mess with them and the status quo they imposed? I just cant see anyone strong enough and with a strong motivation/interest to move against them.
When there were talks in Italy, right before Italy won the world cup, for a total amnesty, i ve heard some rumors that Uefa would punish Italian clubs and esp Juventus, if the Italian sporting justice wouldnt, i cant remember the exact details but there was certainly was an anti-Juve article. The Italian justice used that pressure from Europe and used us, as a scapegoat, so somebody should take the bullet for the team, all these talks were based somewhere. There may have been a case of broken translation or some evil rumors planted specifically to hurt us.
Adding the fact that Moggi and co were also accused to arrange referees and matches in european and national teams,(most of these accusations might have been withdrawn and remain unproven but the staint of corruption remains) would also force any European authority, to take action against us, just to avoid any bad rumors...not alone help us to prove our innocence...
Unfortunately this is the case, we are the incarnation of evil, you either stand against us, or you are one of us...

Ok I opened the video. There are quite a few of these out now since Moggi released his book. He's going around promoting the book but in doing so is walking into a series of viper nests. All the journalists (working for Berlusconi/Tronchetti owned stations) are going out of their way to kill Moggi's credibility. I have to say that I am impressed with the manner in which Moggi has managed to put all these journalists in their place.
In this interview they accuse Moggi of lying about his connection with GEA. We all know that his son Alesandro worked at GEA and it was assumed that he would feed Moggi the best players at the lowest price and would keep him informed of contracts in closure etc.
Moggi claims that he spoke very often with his son (seems normal) but that he would refrain from buying all of his son's players on purpose. He argued that not only he didn't want to attract the jealousy of other teams or the jealousy of other agents (who would in turn envy his son), but that too many of A. oggi's players were of no interest to him. He said "My job was to get the best players for Juve and not earn money for my son". As a result, often A. Moggi would present L. Moggi with players and Moggi would refuse them because they didn't fit in with Juventus' plan (the case of Oddo is brought up).
Then they bring up Mutu who was an A. Moggi player and Luciano confirms that he did buy him (at 0 Euros) along with two more players (Chiellini and Blasi). He makes a point of noting that of Juve's entire roster of players that only 3 were brought to Juventus while under GEA representation. Other teams like Lazio and Milan had tripple that.
Then they bring up the sale of Zidaine claiming that A. Moggi made a massive commisission on the sale. Moggi confirms that his son earned nothing, had nothing to do with the sale and wasn't even present at the time. The reason that accusation came out was because of allegations made by a man named Rogier. Moggi dismantles the man's credibility by informing the journalists that at this very moment Rogier is in prison for fraud. To be honest I'm not sure who Rogier is but Moggi and the journalists knew. I think he was an agent outside of GEA but I can't be quoted on that as this is the second time I heard his name and never dug into who it was. Doesn't seem very crucial.

Yeah, but on the other hand, the EU might use this to show that they are smarter than any other justice system within the EU and pardon us just to show that the Italian courts are wrong. The EU, for obvious reasons, doesn't want strong members, they undermine the idea of a superstate...

There were no accusations of fixing international games anywhere in the trial. I'm not sure where you got that but it was fabricated at best. I already listed the games thought to be fixed and none had anything to dio with Europe. There was the accusation that Lippi was forced to select who Moggi wanted but Lippi himself (in court) claimed that Moggi only ever made suggestions like many others and often the suggestions had nothing to do with Juventus players.
UEFA never threatened the FIGC to take action against Juventus nor was amnesty ever an option. UEFA's position was to hurry up so that the CL wouldn't be complicated.

Actually, it is "common knowledge" in Belgium that Luciano D'Onofrio handled the Zidane transfer as an agent.
Luciano is an Italian born agent player (Boksic, Henry, Desailly, Deschamps, Zidane,...) who is currently the vice-president of Standard, and a close friends of Marseille's Robert-Louis Dreyfus. The latter is also an investor in Standard.
These two have had a lot of dodgy deals (Van Buyten to Marseille, and more surprisingly Jurgen Cavens, a very average player who was transferred from Standard to Marseille, never played and went back to Belgium later), and are convicted of fraud.
D'Onofrio has appealed, was sentenced to 6 months of prison, and is now taking it to Belgium's supreme court.
