It's now more evident than ever. Juventus just signed a contract with "La Gazzetta Dello Sport". The same trash rag that has been smearing Juventus' name for over a decade. The same trash rag that Moggi and Giraudo opposed for years. Now they are Juventus' sponsors. As is Telecom a sponsor of Ferrari and on my issue of Hurra Juventus I noted ads from TIM...the same telephone company owned by Inter's biggest sponsor (Tronchetti) that provided and sold (to the Gazzetta) all the wire taps for the scandal are now Juve's partners.

How much more evidence do we need? The old Juve regime was resistant to the powers that be between Juve and the company's in the Italian soccer world. Now Moggi and Giraudo are gone and those companies are all in bed with Juventus' new (FIAT) managers.

Anyone that still thinks Calciopoli wasn't about multi-million euro contracts can't see past their nose.
Good stuff. Keep on posting.

MILAN

Meanwhile Berlusconi, Galliani and Mediaset (venue by which TV rights are sold in a quasi legal fashion to teams permitting or denying ad revenue to those teams) began their threats. If Galliani and Milan were prosecuted for article 6 violations no TV rights would be sold in Italy and no UEFA coverage would be possible in Italy. You’d be surprised how much pull the Milan media machine has in Europe.
@ Vimto or Gsol

How well do the Italians know about this, how much will they care about this and can this, if people are aware about these threats from Milans side, be used against Berlusconi by his political opponents for the next elections ?

Do we have a proof that Berlusconi threatened that there will be no TV rights for Italy if Milan's relegated or you guys are only making a logical assumption ?
And if there is a proof, why wasn't it used by Prodi or someone else ?

There are over 10 million Juventus fans in the world and that may be understating it, why did we not as much as riot when we got relegated?

Can we please dispense with this nonsense we were not setup, we are not innocent and we are back in seriea so leave it be
There is more than that in Italy alone;)

By now fully aware. Maybe no one knows all the actual details but the general consensus in Italy is that Milan was saved thanks to their political and economic ties. It is also widely understood now that the set up was predominantly on the Inter side of things (Inter-Telecom-FIGC) but that the other half of Juventus (FIAT side especially Montezemolo) wanted it and co-operated accordingly.

Are people aware of these threats from Milans side and can they be used against Berlusconi by his political opponents for the next elections?

Prodi didn't have to use them to win (the election preceeded the trial) but he could very well try next time. It is known that Berlusconi used TV Rights to stay in the CL because when Milan were initially dropped far enough that they were no longer in the CL Mediaset began renegotiating the terms of their contracts. After Milan's appeal they went back to the CL and the terms went back to normal.

Galliani and Berlumerda still complained that Milan were unjustly treated...

By the way the most realistic figure I heard was 24 million fans worldwide

We do put in. Tickets, club membership, scarves, shirts, sky subs, car stickers, coats, we all buy in to Juve. Thats why we expect big things in the transfer market, look at what each of us spend following Juve, & how many times you can multiply that for all the Juventini.

They should get us Messi/Quaresma/Huntelaar just to say thanks for last season!

so, when are we getting back those 2 scudetti? what's happening with Misson and cie? Any trial or verdict dates?

I'm asking this since we have to print those shirts with the number of scudetti we have. Of course, if we win this year or next year. Should we reprint those old f*ckers with 28 on it, re-order or make new ones with a big fat 30 on it?

    :D

I'm joking but that's a question marketing gurus at Juve are asking themselves.
I would buy one with freakin' 28 on it. Would you?
