Nothing will happen. Palazzi released this statement along with the archiving of the whole case due to the statue of limitations being exceeded. There is no sweeping under the rug anymore. The statement itself already did that.

Palazzi identified all that was wrong with the initial verdict and then closed the case up by saying…(I’m summarizing) “unfortunately we have exceeded permissible timeframes that would have permitted corrective measures”. He represents the FIGC when he says that so that is it from their end. “We messed up and that is that”.

The scudetto being revoked is all that can occur because that has nothing to do with the statute of limitations and that is likely where it will end.

Some may recall that months ago I said this whole thing would end behind closed doors amidst wine and cigar smoke. It would allow all to save face and proceed with their usual lives. Here it is.

Juventus can say “we tried our best and now Inter lost the title they never won”
Inter can say “we feel we did nothing wrong and never went to Serie B”
FIGC can say “we tried our best but ran out of time”

The morons regardless of fanbase will feel appeased.

In the meantime come August it is business as usual. Nothing changes.

My feeling is that everyone knew all along how this would end as that was likely decided well in advance. Why else did Juve put so little pressure on the federation, why else wasn’t Inter too concerned (even skipping court dates) and why else did the FIGC wait until the 5 year anniversary to figure shit out?

Isn't the final decision July 18th or sometime in October?
On the 18th they will decide whether or not to revoke the scudetto of honesty.
In October Moggi’s civil trial ends in Naples. The FIGC is done.

I think your last paragraph says a lot. I think based off of that, Moggi could continue moving forward if necessary in a different court? CONI?

Man, I wish I knew law or studied it so I could better understand this stuff.

    http://juvemania.it/palazzi-certifica-inter-disonesta-violati-gli-articoli-1-e-6/

    Translated into English:

The federal prosecutor Stefano Palazzi, has finally delivered a 72-page report on each Calciopoli 2, which had generated the press last Friday in which you stored them for prescribing a countless number of disciplinary offenses committed in wiretapping in the 2004-2005 season and escape ( who knows how) to the courts and consequently to the sport in 2006. The report of Palaces is very tough especially against Inter, and in particular its former president Giacinto Facchetti, which challenges the Palaces many calls emerged from the Court of Naples thanks to the defense of Luciano Moggi. For buildings Facchetti approaches towards designators Bergamo and Pairetto would set if analyzed in 2006 the crime sports "unlawful" in view of the fact that the Inter president calls always came at the races riguardavno the referees and assistants that would have directed the Inter races. Palaces for this in its report, the 24 pages devoted to Inter Inter emphasizes that the responsibility would be - if not covered by prescription - a responsibility "to provide a direct advantage in the standings in favor of international society, by conditioning the regular functioning of the arbitration and the lesion of the principles of otherness, impartiality, and independence imparizalità in violation of Article 6 of the pre-existing code of justice in force at the time and now replaced by Article 9. " For Inter, the second palaces, "and assumed direct responsibility." For the President Moratti, however, the emphasis is moved violation of Article 1. The report extensively from the dark matter Nucini dedicated and timely reminders to the phone calls transcribed by the defenses of Moggi, De Sanctis and Pairetto in Naples. Even the heavy additional proceedings concerning the conduct Meani, whose actions to influence referees and linesmen in the very heavy phone calls are only partly covered by the national 2006. Palaces confirms his view on Milan: Hands were the conduct of "illegal sport" even if the organs were then smoothed gioustizia sports and reduced to the position of Milan only 8 penalty points for the next championship. The relationship of buildings is a real bomb that explodes in the hands of the Federal Council will receive it tomorrow during the meeting of the Football Federation Government. It will be very difficult for them to evade prosecution on the 2006 league title since the same prosecutor noted as the only buildings still look sporty and subject to attack by the scandal of the prescription is just the title given to the alleged lack of clarity or disciplinary profiles in 2006. It's enough, though, because the art is required. 39 and the total revision of the show trial of Calciopoli. To ask she will not be Juventus, who will wait for the 2014-2015 and the three levels of courts in Naples, but could do so very soon Luciano Moggi.

When I say FIGC is done I mean they are done with this case. It is archived.

Let Moggi go to CONI. So? Moggi is Moggi not Juventus. He can go and get himself reinstated but that won't send anyone to Serie B, it won't put titles in our trophy case and it won't land us millions. He can only represent and defend himself.

Question: Aside from the top dogs smoking cigars and business as usual...let's say moggi goes to CONI and wins (or somewhere else for that matter)...if he wins his innocence back...would that IN ANY WAY, open the door for the club to move forward "if" they decided to do so?

I know you think with Elkann, etc that would never happen...but let's say Moggi won...and the club decided to tests its luck with the CONI too or would they have to go through the ringer just like Moggi did and start with the FIGC?

At least if they don't get punished we'll be considered the victims and the good guys while Inter can have the reputation of the bad guys.

so now this has all leaked out, how can they still ban moggi for life when he commited lesser crimes than those who are still walking and working
Because the ban conveniently came before Palazzi released the statement...makes you wonder why they rushed his ban huh? They were supposed to wait for the Naples trial to end and suddenly rushed his ban.

CONI can overturn it but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
