Exactly. If it wasn't for inter the league wouldn't be in this precarious position it is in now. At least not as bad with the whole world looking at what a scandal it is. If it wants to clear its name, the FIGC needs to punish inter for the damage it has caused the league. You don't make it all go away by brushing it under a rug when the whole world sees the bump in the rug and knows exactly what is lying beneath it.

To be fair it's not all inter fault, the whole league is corrupt, we just paid the price for them.

Ok i see your point but surely if you need to be punished then you got to pay the right way. Serie A is fuct as it is thanks to those fuckers from the start.
of course, personally the figc should take no mercy or pity on inter like they did with us 4 years ago.

The only real way that i could see inter going down is if the new evidence conflicts against everything Juve and those incriminated, and instead proved that inter were infact heavily influencing referee selections to gain certain outcomes. Only then will the figc have no choice but to punish inter severely. However if the figc maintain that what moggi did was unethical as well, unfortunatly to say i can only see inter getting away with a slapped wrist and the title taken from us made void too, and any ideas of compensation will be thrown out of the window too. I just hope that wont be the case.

If the whole league is corrupt then maybe they should have fixed that in 2006 instead of the disaster they made. All they needed to say if cleaning up the league was the real objective was from now on:

    - no calling desgnators
    - no conflicting sponsorship deals (Telecom)
    - instant replay

We all now Calciopoli wasn't about cleaning up shit so those conversations never occured. I even remember Adiconsum reporting that the level of match altering referee errors statistically increased after the scandal and set records in 2007-2008. The only difference was that the errors that were once somewhat balanced were suddenly quite skewed but of course...they were all "honest human errors" by then. So much for cleaning up the league.

Dont forget that the Italian "sporting justice system" only had the intention to weaken Juventus.
It has been [ainfully obvious by the very beginning, when they have focused the investigation on us, not because there wasnt any evidence on the other teams, but because they didnt care about it.
At this very moment, nothing has really changed.
Moggi is just playing a card that should have played from the very beginning, exposing them as well and make it impossible to punish only him for a corrupted system everyone participated.

The evidence he has collected was accidently exposed on the effort to frame us.
We will miss the most important evidence that is incriminating the rest of the powerful teams, because the investigation never aimed to anyone else than us.

Even if the minor evidence is enough for Moggi to make his point in the trail,it will be hardly enough to justify a penalty anywhere near the one we got.
After the inquisitive investigations we have endure for months, they have still failed to present incriminating evidence to justify the penalties we have given.
They had to adjust and modify the laws in order to handle us these penalties.
That was an exception and only happened because of the clear intention to harm us. There never was any intention to make justice.

So even if justice prevails now, the penalties given will be nothing compare to what happened to us.
Inter will def not lose nothing more than their "saint" status they are enjoying now,
anything else is completely unrealistic, considering they are still in control and their political and media influence hasnt been affected!

There should be extra punishment for Inter knowing what their own acts were and then saying "This is the Scudetto of Fairness", "We are the only club that plays by the rules" and the classic "Facchetti's dying words were 'at least we never had to speak to the referees'"

Oh, but I don't think we should go after Inter in some sort of quasi-trial organised by the FIGC. Instead we should actually sue them. In an actual court room. The tampering with evidence alone would see them destroyed, never mind everything else they did.

they may understand yes, but they will only do what is in their best interest without further jeopardising whats left of serie A's credibility
No, they won't. If this trial shows you anything, it's that some people are prepared to drag down everyone with them. Best to come clean or to make a very good deal. The FIGC directors couldn't care less about the Serie A, they have to save themselves first.

They're all references to Tangentopoli. Like Americans describe every scandal with -gate in reference to Watergate. Poli means city here, Tangentopoli = bribesville.

I'm not really thanking you for your answer though. I think you should thank me for mine.

that would be the ideal situation, but i find it hard to believe that the current figc lot dont have serie A's best interests in mind.
