That was fast. Within 15 minutes Carlo Garganese wrote me. I'll be contacting him and I'll let you guys know what is going to happen. I really want this to go mainstream because I want fans of other teams and other leagues to be exposed to it as well. Calciopoli was as much a trial of public opinion as anything else. People's opinions in masses count for something so those sites should do their part.
Much respect gsol. I really like reading your post and I appreciate the effort your putting in, sharing this information of this topic with us.
I recently finished reading the book Forza Italia by the Irish expatriate writer living near Roma, Paddy Agnew. One of the things that really struck me was a chapter he wrote on Italian soccer scandals. The book was published right before calciopoli. And the chapter noted how every scandal/faux-scandal in Italy starts the same way: claims and accusations, articles printed in newspapers, murky follow up by the sporting agencies, etc.
It pretty much spelled out the exact process that calciopoli would follow just months after the book hit the presses.
Interesting, I will try to check this book out.
Good book that.
Has to be kept in mind throughout the book that, if memory serves, Agnew is an Inter fan, though.
Not as interesting as I first thought.
minimum 250m € + 2 scudetti.
Agree. :xfinger:
Up to today he still thinks that we juve fanboys are making this stuff up.
I just hope that his beloved inter falls into pieces especially that this is the first year where they actually look good as a team.
Foolish Inter fans, just like children. Yes, they look good now, but it's not the first time, "La Grande Inter" of the 60's was a great team.
well if they dont get punished surely we have to pursue it in court?
odd how this is coming out jut before a world cup as well.
FIGC are probably believing that the controversy from 06' actually brought good luck to the Italian squad in the World Cup, so I'm guessing they want a repeat?
