How is it that the rest of the world wants bush out? I mean, this affects the whole world and only people who have been brainwashed by their own media get to vote.
Dan, if you actually watched the media here in the last year or so, you'd realize that it was slanted very heavily towards John Kerry.

Media has nothing to do with it.

Check out my post in the other thread to see what my opinions are of the whole situation.

The media in america is censored. you dont see what really goes on iraq. In iraq people are saying how american soldiers pay them to act like they are happy on camera, just so they can say: another victory for america in iraq, when really they need the money to buy food and water.

Do you watch Al-Jazeera or something Dan? Every media outlet is going to show some sort of bias, not matter what.

Btw, the American media is not censored like you think it is.

no offense, but you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. you live in Cologne, not the US, and it shows. 90% of the media in this country is completely anti-Bush, and do everything in there power to give people the impression that things in Iraq are completely, horribly gone wrong. God knows when the last time a picture of happy Iraqis was published.

if you have seen the Washington Post for the last 3 years, you would notice that everything is negative about Bush. They put every bit of bad news on the front page, and any good news goes in the back. they really do their best to give people the impression that Bush has fecked absolutely everything up. the only conservative newspaper I ever see is the Wall Street Journal.

what I don't understand is how so many people on this forum, living in Europe, are such experts on America. I was looking back at some of the posts on this thread, and the lack of knowledge about America is astouding! to say that our media is cencored?? it's absolutely incredible what europeans think they know about the US!

Guys,

This disucssion is getting beyond all limits...

Europeans: everybody has a right for an opinion, all nations have an equivalent of the 1st Ammendment to the US Constitution, so everyone is free to what they can say, with certain limitations. If you don't like someone, you can say that you don't like him and support your thesis by facts. But you can't trash politicians just because you don't like them. That's offensive.

Americans: everybody has a right for an opinion. Just because people state that they don't agree with something does not mean that they ought to be told stuff like "mind your own business", etc.

Remember the fundamental principle of any debate or any discussion- MUTUAL RESPECT.

State your opinion but don't take it on the personal level.

@ Gray: Voting for Kerry after the recorded message would mean, people got intimidated by what Osama had to say. Imo Osama wanted Bush to win, and he put it in a way that would unite the American ppl for Bush, and thats exactly what happened. Everyone wanted to show Osama and the world, they werent afraid of such threats.
