No, Makaay is just overlooked by most people. In Holland the general perception is that only players in England or Spain are actually good. I myself think that Makaay is superb (I saw his goal against Ajax live!) but also think that Nistelrooy is the better player. But playing with both would mean no wingers, and that would be playing without Robben. So we have lots of good attacking players, but our defense is absolute shit.
