Except in Europe. 7 Finals appearances doesnt count.
It does count, really. But Bayern has 20 Bundesliga Titles, Juventus has 27. Everybody knows which league is more difficult, and we could actually have 29 Scudetti depending on the evidence against us. So come on... is Bayern really superior to Juve? I don't buy it at all. It's bullshit. Bayern should probably have more Bundesliga titles than Juve if they want to be considered better than Juve.

Real Madrid is head and shoulders above the rest, Milan has a great record in Europe, Boca is the best side in the Americas, Liverpool has a stunning number of European victories, Juventus and Bayern are the greatest sides within their own leagues. I think any more dicussion is pointless.

Who cares. Our Ultras could fuck up Bayern anyday of the week.

Way to ignore my point. I said Bayern where better in Europe. They are. 4 titles to 2 titles. Championship appearances don't count. You shouldn't be rewarded for losing, this is football not T-Ball.

Oh and fuck the Ultras. Counting the number of dumbasses who support your side doesn't work either.

I didn't ignore your point. I just made a counter point. Bayern should have more national titles than Juventus if they want to be the better side in history, since their league is not as tough.

    a) Yea, but our league wasn't founded until 1965.
    b) Ultras? What the fuck, man, we sell out EVERY home game, every one, that's 66000 fans, when was the last time you had more than 1200 for a Juve game....you can't, couldn't and didn't even fill your own stadium...so don't give me this shit about ultras....you are talking about 2500 cavalry members, I'm talking about 66000 fans...

Will you sell out against Aberdeen?

We've got a 6200 allocation and will probably take about 4,000 across, I can't wait.

lol though i am sure bayern along with juve and liverpool are the only clubs to have won EVERY european trophy. European cup,UEFA(which was a great tourny back then) Cup Winners Cup and European Ssuper Cup.

basically both are great clubs, though obviously we would make a claim to be the bigger club

Talking shit about UEFA Cup wins:lol:
hey man i did not hear the liverpool fans downgrade it when houlllier won it. besides teh quality of the UEFA cup in previous years was immense, pity the greed of top clubs forcing more and more league teams into CL has diluted the quality and lessened it importance

No really, is there a need for a new thread every time Bayern make it to the headlines? Will a mod make it so that ßöмßäяdîëя gets his own thread where he can gather Bayern Munchen articles? Saves space.
well mate, this is the part of the forum for all things NOT juve so he is well within his rights

    Breaking news

Jürgen Klinsmann to succeed Hitzfeld at Bayern

Former Germany boss Jürgen Klinsmann will succeed Ottmar Hitzfeld as Bayern head coach on 1 July 2008, the club announced on Friday.

The appointment sees Klinsmann return to the club where he won UEFA Cup and German championship honours in a two-year stint as a player between 1995 and 1997.

The former world-class striker won 108 international caps and captained his country to Euro 1996 glory, before coaching Germany to third place at the 2006 FIFA World Cup on home soil. The 43-year-old will now take on the challenge of leading Bayern to domestic and European success.

More news and reaction follows shortly!

I won't be sadenned, I'm going over expected to get soundly beaten.

I'm just going for a 4 day piss up.

Slightly surprised at the choice of Klinnsman, I expected someone with more experience of club management to be appointed.

I agree, I would have liked someone that had more experience, but he must have impressed to have gotten the job...

I think it's a good call, everyone had the same thing to say prior to the world cup and I think he did okay with that, don't you?

i actually think it is a greatb appointment, i get the feeling that klinsman is a good man-manager and motivator. with players of great skill its not always a case of drilling formations, tactics and drills into them. you get a group of top players (as bayern has) they are generally tactically aware anyway, so it is more a case of wanting them to be hungry, with a will to win, that is where good man-management comes in and for taht jurgens appointment could be a master stroke

    Sounds good.

I'm sure I will sample a large variety of beers while I'm over, so I might stumble upon it accidently anyway.

Except that Bayern has won the UEFA cup in 1996, the final was against Bordeaux.

They have also won the European Supercup 3 times in 1982, 1987 and 1990
