According to Tuttosport, Juventus have offered 10 million euros to clinch Inter’s defender Nicolas Burdisso…

After having completed the attacking and midfield departments, Juventus are now set to strengthen the rearguard with one extra signing.

The name that has been mentioned is Nicolas Burdisso. Even though Inter coach Roberto Mancini wouldn’t want to see Burdisso leave, the Juve leadership believes that president Massimo Moratti could be more flexible, especially after Ibrahimovic’s and Vieira’s transfers from Juve to Inter last year.

Meanwhile, Juve coach Claudio Ranieri has phoned Roberto Mancini. It indicates that Juventus are trying their best to convince Inter over this issue and offer 10 million euros for the Argentinean player.

If Burdisso isn’t signed, Juve would look elsewhere to add a last player to the defense. It’s been said that Barzagli could be an alternative, as his friend Gianluigi Buffon might instead be the key to unlock his transfer to the Old Lady.

I only saw highlights of Palermo's goals over last season, so my assessment of Barzagli is based on the world cup & how grateful I was to see Lippi drop Zaccardo & bring in Barzagli. For what it's worth, I don't think Burdisso is any better a player, having seen a number of Inter's games.

I wouldn't mind Burdisso, he's 25, he's talented and over the past 2 seasons he has improved alot. He's an excellent header of the ball and scores some goals from corners. I still say we go for Samuel who is 29 and can easily give 4 solid seasons, at least by then Criscito would have gained from the 2 Veterans.

I think Burdisso will stay at the Argentinian colony. He feels like at home there.

Also, I don´t think Juventus is going to do business with arch enemies Inter, especially after the last comments about them.
