Wasnt he in military training for like a month before signing with Bayern?
I think on some level they're mind games.

"Oh look at this, another new player is below the Bayern standard. He's going to have to work hard to make it here."

Sort of a way to push them to do more and at the same time plant an idea in other teams that they should be feared and respected.

He's not on the horse meat diet yet. Plus this news looks great for their image and how wonderful their training is.

Only two options here.

1) Koreans are just naturally not good athletes.
2) Italians are lazy ass phaggots who have no business in modern football.

I choose a combination of both, but 99% number 2.
You'd think Bayern would have known a guy named Kim could be Korean.

Bayern 2013 treble team over 2020, definitely. Both were superb, but 2013 was just more well rounded imo.
I admittedly didnt watch 2012-13 that much outside of the CL because I didnt get Bundesliga on TV (and it was before streaming took off).

But I loved watching the 2020 team after Flick took over. High pressing, non-stop attack, and with their high line, I'm not sure I've seen a GK be so good and stop as many 1 on 1's as I saw Neuer that season. Neuer was spectacular for those 6 months, capped off with another great performance vs PSG in the CL final.

Debating between 2 treble winners over a 10 years span. Must be nice.

Although what's funny is, with the expectations under Flick from that half season (and for Bayern in general), I'm not sure there has been a bigger disappointment in football over the past 3 seasons than Bayern based on expectations since that treble win. Bayern with I think 3 straight eliminations in the CL quarterfinals, some embarrassing eliminations in the German cup, and Germany under Flick just hasnt worked.

But Bayern is Bayern and Germany in Germany and I'm sure they'll get it figured out.

Once you win, it's hard to keep that hunger going ang going.

Also, if you're looking at expectations, we made the final three times between 2010 and 2013. Losing to Chelsea and Inter.

So, that's certainly better than the 2020 team's leadup.
