    I know the media sucks here-I detest most of it, although there are good journals, newspapers, etc. the "society" that you are talking about is merely a part(a bad part for sure) of American society as a whole-it just has high prominence. coming from a very intelectual family, your assertions sound very silly......

    you missed the point for a second time-I mentioned my dad not because of emotions, but because he is an example that backs up my claims. anyway, who said being intellectual should keep you from bringing in emotions to an argument? afterall, it can be a very effective tactic. anyway, why is it necessary for you to be rude?

    It's pretty obvious that this was his intention all along.

    He just waited for some Americans to enter this thread before he could REALLY say what was on his mind.

    Just look at how this thread materialized, with him all of a sudden saying "Americans are Dumb".

    Where did that come from, all of a sudden?

    No repsect to other members at all. Especially American ones.

    Just a matter of time before this thread closes.

    But then again,this thread will probably stay open, because everyone seems to have something in here to say about the US.
