I'd be happy with....

Woj
Danilo mdl kk udogie
Zakaria loca pogba
Di Maria Dusan chiesa

Solid and balanced defense.
Quality midfield
Chiesa and Di Maria at their best will provide vlahovic with 50 goals a season.

If we could field something like this in big games it would be a huge upgrade

Chiesa - Valhovic - Di Maria
Kostic - Pogba - Locatelli - Cuadrado
Koulibally - Bonucci - De Ligt
Szczesny
Our bench would be pretty poor though

X - Zaniolo
Alex Sandro - Fagioli - Miretti - Zakaria - Cambiaso
Rugani - Gatti - Danilo
Perin

Woj; A.S KK Bonucci Cuad/Danilo; Pogba Locatelli Zakaria; Chiesa Vlahovic Di Maria

GK no change but we dont upgrade 6
Defense upgrade over MDL but we are still lacking a good LB - 6
Midfield - Upgraded even if we need more than just Pogba 7.5
Attack - Di Maria and Chiesa flanking Vlahovic with Kostic probably on the bench - 8.5

The only area in which I see satisfactory is our attack (although we need a vice Vlahovic)
Defense - We MUST get KK or we are risking of having a worse defense compared to last year. Even then we need another CB as Arrivabenne said MDL wants to leave. LB is an obvious need.

Vlahovic
Chiesa-Zaniolo-Di Maria
Pogba-Locatelli
By far the strongest squad in Italy and actually worth turning the TV on to watch. Also seems a highly dangerous counter attack squad for UCL.

I quite doubt that the plan is to play all the attacking players we have at the same time, unless we're really chasing a game. At least one of Zak/Wes/Rabiot? will more than likely be there to bring energy and legs.

Man, don't you know Di Maria will only be collecting his paycheck and try to stay healthy for the world cup while Chiesa and Zaniolo will be exchanging ACL recovery tips in front of Pogba who's dabbing them on.

Until Zaniolo injures himself in the second game of the season and is ruled out for 9 months.

Basically this:
1657181490700.png

IN: DiMaria, Kostic, Zaniolo, Koulibaly, Cambiaso
OUT: Rabiot, Arthur, McKennie, Pellegrini, Morata, Dybala, De Ligt, Bernardeschi,
Would be fairly happy with that team and I hope we really give those young midfielders many chances to prove something. Cant understand why we extended MDS, cant see him in that team.

Id keep McKennie. He remains a threat and is a great guy. Dont sell
