How about a 442?

RB - Benatia - Chiellini - AS
Cuads - SMS - Pjanic/Matuidi - Costa
Dybala - Higuain

Rugani / Caldara can jump on one DC position. I'd very much like to see Higuain - Dybala as Trez - ADP back in the day. They speak the same language FFS, they should be a great partnership.
We literally play a 4-4-2.

Higuain/Dybala have been playing as Trez/ADP for 2 years and have not an ounce of chemistry.

Pjanic is also overrun in a 4-4-2. Might as well sell him on.

Pjanic in a 442 would be a disaster although last seasons stats showed he performed well in a 2 man midfield.

Dybala and higuain can work...just need costa or bernardeschi to support it with a well balanced midfield and full backs at their best like sandro.

Right back will be the hardest position to fill. MDS is good on his day but just injury prone.

Woj
Perreira-Benatia-Caldara-Spinazzola
SMS-Pjanic-Torreira
Dybala-Costa
Higuain

In: Perreira (30m), SMS (90m), Torreira (25m)
Out: Sandro (60m), Mario (15m), Stu (10m), Licht, Howedes

145m (In) - 85m (Out)= -60m

Bench: GK, MDS, Asamoah (keep), Rugani, Chiellini, Barzagli, Khedira, Marchisio*, Matuidi, Bentancur, Bernie, Cuads, Pjaca** Kean

Bring Back for Trials: Mandragora, Orsolini

*Marchisio: If we sell, get Cristante/Pellegrini
**Pjanca: Again, not sure if we will keep but selling would offer funds to help.

What say you?

Just looked at the stats of Europe`s top leagues and the players who have some interesting stats are:
Lazio`s Luis Alberto 11G 12A (Serie A) - SMS only has 10G 3A.. (of course SMS is by far their best player but Im talking stats now..) midfielder
Arsenal`s Ramsey 7G 7A (EPL) midfielder
Augsburg`s Philip Max 1G 12A (Bundesliga) defender
Leverkusen`s Kai Havertz 3G 8A (Bundesliga) midfielder (only 18 years old)
Marseille`s Florian Thauvin 19G 10A midfielder (I personally watched him for few seasons and think he is a terrific player)
Lyon`s Memphis Depay 15G 11A forward
Balotelli 18G and also a freebie this summer - cant understand why we dont go for him..

I know right. What a mystery that he's still at such a small club. I wonder why no big teams have ever given him a chance!

The thing is we complain about Higuain and the truth is we can use Balotelli as a sub or rotation player as he fits every position and could provide with the strong physically type of forward while he is also very athletic - In terms of versatility he fits perfectly

Yes, but why is he at Nice now? There must be a reason since he's such a good player, no?
