A couple of weeks ago, I just burned an Ubuntu 5.10 Live CD for my Mac Powerbook and I played around with it. It was ok. Haven't gotten deep into details to see what its advantages are, but I still prefer my Knoppix distro for live Linux. (Too bad there's no stable Knoppix available for PPC platform)

My only problem is that I can't seem to get my RealPlayer working! Martin I need help here! Is there an alternative software to play streamed Real media? Or a software that can play .asf files?

I recommend realplayer for real streams. .asf and other windows crap you can play with mplayer+win32codecs. The url I PM'ed you I think explains the codecs as well.

I installed it, and it installed, but the crappy guy is refusing to work. Let me install XFCE or KDE first and see... get back to you.

GOT IT WORKING! No need to install any extras. Just went into the /usr/local/RealPlayer folder and did some tweakng. :proud:
