So far, this last 1/2 season has the feel of an entirely different series than what I've been watching for the past 4.5 seasons. With Walt out of the business and now the final conflict over discovery and pursuit, it's in a whole new phase of the storyline.

I agree it's a totally different show but I think it is done that way to put all the characters in the spot and end the show in a blast.

I just watched 5.09 and 5.10, it is getting darker and darker by the minute and tension can be felt from a mile. 5.10 was almost a horror movie.
