Boxing thread? :shocked2:

Tyson was really something, one of my idols when I was just a kid. Roy Jones Jr. was great too. :)

Bring on Pac versus Mosley.
Meh, if you want to watch Mosley go one step closer to mental retardation it might be a good match. He was one of my favorites and it hurts to see him take it too far.

Haye V Klitschko

The WBO Heavyweight title will be on the line on Saturday night in Germany when titleholder David Haye takes on Wladimir Klitschko from the Imtech Arena.
Leading up to this bout, both fighters have been very vocal about their distaste for the other which had lead to plenty of pre-fight hype and the anticipation of getting into the ring is at a peak.
This is being considered the biggest heavyweight boxing bout since back in 2003 when Lennox Lewis matched up with Wladimir’s older broth Vitali.
Flash-forward seven years, and both fighters know that while they most certainly do not like each other, it will be a fight that shapes the way they are perceived in the future of their careers.
“This fight solidifies my legacy. It’ll get people to realize that I’m better than him. This is my chance to prove I’m the main man in the world,” said Haye. “This is the defining fight of my career, and also of his.”
Klitschko (55-3) and Haye (25-1) have been on each other’s radar for three years, when Haye tried to get Klitschko to get into the ring with him. Shortly thereafter, there was the infamous shirt Haye word which depicted both Klitschko brothers on decapitated with Haye holding their heads.
Haye doesn’t regret a moment.
“Without those controversial acts that I implemented on him, I probably wouldn’t be here now,” Haye said. “It always takes that little spark to get the interest. Without the initial interest, I may never have been on his radar. But the fact that I ruffled some feathers, not only in Britain but worldwide, Germany, America, it put me on the map even before I’d have had a heavyweight fight.”
These two heavyweight title holders will put a total of four championships on the line on Saturday night, with the IBF, WBA, WBO, and IBO Heavyweight Championships held. Haye currently holds the WBA title, while Klitschko holds the other three.
Oddsmakers have made Klitschko the favorite in the fight, but in addition to the overall line to win the fight, Boxing Betting Lines at Bodog Sportsbook have installed several prop lines relating to the way the fight will end, and how many round the fight will take.

How's it going to play out? I don't know but I hope Haye gets his head pulped/

Klitschko will kill him. Haye's a natural light-heavy and Klitoris has good technique and movement for such a big heavyweight.

3d round KO.

Haye's physique is that of a heavyweight, although the 2 stone weight gap is a bit odd, he could try to use use the Valuev strategy and 'jab and dance'.

Athleticism vs Natural physical advantage
Smart Corner vs Smart Boxer
Haymaker vs Jabs

I've seen Haye, he can be a bit reckless. Not a bit, he can be very reckless and while his punches are powerful, his chin isn't. He's going down.

Edit: I'm assuming Haye is "smart corner"? He's not that smart as a boxer. Both the Klitschko brothers are though.

The fnny thing is that Haye thinks he can play mind games with a Ukrainian, that his focus will drop if he's angry, which is the exact opposite as to how Kiltschko will react.

You can't count him out just yet BUT it would be fucking amazing to see another Arrogant British sportsman get what he deserves.

It will be a good fight and yes, Haye is arrogant as fuck. I would put money on his ass being dropped, I'm certain it'll happen. I'd love to see him fight Vitali after and catch another asswhooping.

Better man won, Haye reckons a broken toe 3 weeks ago had a big part to play but i reckon Klitscho would of won this fight anyway.
