I wouldn't mind taking Mutu on loan, but in truth buying a top quality striker like Gilardino, Toni or Bojinov doesn't make much sense. I'm very big on all three of the players I just mentioned, but what are we going to do with Trezeguet, Del Piero, Ibrahimovic and one of them in the future? Are we trying to turn into Real Madrid? If anything we should take someone on loan.
We are nothing like Madrid..IMO
In fact, the strikers we have right now can't match even the chubby Ronaldo, Face it, we have big name strikers who don't produce, Zlatan still has time (needs to adapt), but DP? Treez? They're not excellent strikers, atleast not anymore...especially DP. Our strikers are one class below the two milan teams...
I'd definately welcome Bojinov, alhtough the price is too high, but Wayne Rooney's was even crazier! I think in a way they're both similar..although I have only seen Bojinov play a few times in which he played great in all.
I think we need atleast one more striker in January, if Sculli comes back then good, if we get Bojinov then Great!
Do I see this happening? No! Juve rarely spend in January, so hopefully Capello can make use of Kapo.

I'm not comparing our strikers to Real's, I'm comparing the way Real buy to what some people here want us to do. Trez, DP, Zlatan and Bojinov would be overkill, just like Ronaldo, Raul, Owen and Morientes is.

That's just my opinion.

Yeah, I definately don't want to see that sort of thing in Juventus. But I'm just saying that Dp, isn't exactly either of the four Madrid Strikers in terms of playing form, and Trez is definately out 4 4 months. So it wouldn't be overkill to me. Except, I guess we would be spending waaay too much money to keep such a strike force, in that sense we are definately not like Madrid who have infinate money to spend.

It wouldn't be overkill if we got a striker on loan or recalled one of our own like Sculli, Palladino or Onwuachi, but spending 10+ million on Gilardino, Toni, Mutu, Morientes or Bojinov doesn't make much sense to me. Sure, it'll definitely boost us now, but what are we going to do when Trezeguet returns and Del Piero hits form? We'll have four top quality forwards none of whom will be content with a place on the bench. Squad rotation is fine, but I'd rather we kept that rotation between Trez, DP and Zlatan so that they can play regularly.
