Can’t help but think that the win vs Inter and the recent string of wins in the league made them consider that Motta should be fine to stay for now and will see us through till end of season without any other major crashes (seeing as we’ve been already KO’d by PSV and Empoli), probably assuming that it can’t possibly get any worse, but that without foreseeing the absolute embarrassment that was to come vs Atalanta, a harsh reality check which should again have the board ready and on their toes to give the team a shock reset while 4th place is still within our reach.

And with no major changes, there is more beatings to come for us (Fiorentina, Roma, Lazio and Bologna) all rivals for the 4th spot.

It’s a shame to the history of this club and a disgrace for its fans to even consider those pissant clubs I just listed as rivals. But this is where we are.
