how's that even possible?

going to tar would have stopped the league. that would be well deserved for figc and fun to watch as a juve supporter, but the damages during a single season that doesn't happen at all would have been much more than missing out on cl. not having a cl revenue vs not having revenue at all looks pretty clear to me. and again, as a supporter i'm disappointed and i think the club is weak. but if i was an investor, i'd sell all of my juve stocks the moment the club went to tar
It also forces the league to strongly consider backing down as it would kill them, preventing the season from being stopped.

press sold more copies with the downfall of juventus than with anything else. jj made the headlines for months: plusvalenza this, plusvalenza that, cosa rischia la juve, salary case, secret ronaldo contract, possible exclusion to serie z, you name it. charges dropped: two barely visible columns at the bottom of a page.

miserable imbeciles.

Sad.
On a similar note, do you remember how CNN milked the Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777 disappearance? That went on for months.

Then you would be a pretty bad investor. Juventus has all the leverage. It's the league that signed tv contracts and has to deliver on them. They would be in such weak position, they would fold faster than besmirs lawnchair.

it's true that the club had some leverage. not all the leverage though: as i said a few times, we didn't know too much about the salary maneuver case, and if the club really fucked that up, then we really risked some serious penalties. we don't know that based on the published information.

if it was about the plusvalenza case and that case only i'd agree, the worst lawyers should have won that case in a civil court

and let's not forget the uefa funds, they are automatically lost the moment you go to tar

the league would have had a perfect scapegoat in juventus in case of a cancelled season

his next club will be a lucky one:

This guy is not an employee of any club, he is a service provider via his scouting company, which is why he manages to work for both PSG and Cellta. I have doubts about his loyalty, all the last transfers to PSG have been Mendes players and we cannot say that it was a succes, if we want to have trouble he's our man.

From my pov, the fact that we accept plea bargain means we really did the salary manouver. Our board try to dodge a bigger bullet. Much bigger bullet. It's just the reputation we sacrifice but it's still the same if latter we receive big punishment from salary case.
I agree that plusvalenza case should have been won. But yeah we really can't win both cases. Salary manouver is a real big missconduct

I always wonder why the club never seem to defend us properly like 2006 or the recent investigations and sometimes it crosses my mind that at times maybe we are truly guilty and Elkann uses his families influence to hide the more incriminating evidence, wiretaps etc

I just can't fathom why we don't fight back so maybe that's why.

his next club will be a lucky one:

If we hire him as our waterboy now given the rate of our internal promotions, campos will be our DS within 10 years.

That's fine, he doesn't need to work for us right now.

He could just meet up with our board for dinner because they're all such good friends. Naturally of course they discuss the market and players that in his opinion would be good names to target with their appropriate cost. It's not work though, it's simply frequent meetings between friends. It's not our fault if he decides to "quiet quit," Napoli should of course continue to pay him though because contracts are important and we must respect them. ADL will agree with all of this I'm sure as he is an intellectually honest paladin.

FIGC will relegate us to Serie C.
