He wanted to show his power by winning the election regardless. Obviouly he would never be able to actually continue. Platini would never threaten to pull ou uefa withou knowing Blatter would leave.

Ok, the most hilarious thing is that Jack Warner tried to accuse the US of being corrupt by claiming that FIFA awarded the USA a 2015 World Cup. His source: "The Onion". For those who don't know the Onion, it is a satirical paper that writes articles like this:

Why don't you read up on current events instead of coming up with ridiculous conclusions? Platini has played a very key part in Qatar hosting the World Cup, as well as their new involvement in European football. His son works for a Qatar company, Platinu himself was all for the World Cup in Qatar, and now he was trying to oust Blatter by saying UEFA might separate from FIFA. He's a scumbag, one of the most corrupt ones out there and is playing a huge role in dirtying the game. Fuck him, that little French frog.
