In the Dnipro v Aberdeen game in the UEFA Cup on Thursday the Aberdeen starting 11 were all Scottish and 7 of them game through the clubs youth system.

That home grown side beat a team with several Ukrainian internationals and it is much more satisfying to do it with Scottish players.

i am divided on this issue. as much as i hate inter and i hate seeing teams with nobody from their country on them, it subjects people by their nationality which is something people should be trying to fight.

I love this thread title and The example for sure , just imagine , Inter would play with player like Siligardi , Maroufi , Fatic , Denis Esposito  I bet they could gets a regelation instead . their Primavera even couldn't beat our primavera .

and actually i love the way Ranieri composed our Starting 11 with Italian players in majority .

Forza Juventus !!!

Very good point.
Its a very bad rule.
And it would effect almost all of the good teams.
Even Juventus.

..

This rule smells, and should never be adopted for the good sake of football. Its not the clubs fault if there is no talent at home. The only top side in Europe that i can think of that has many national talents is Valencia, all the rest of the top teams would suffer, and not just Inter as most you think...

Blatter should shove this up his buthole.

This rule is fantastic , but will be very hard to be applied.

Hey it's just only 5 (there are 6 for foreign), in my country I think there is regulation about max foreign player on the field --> 3 players at same time.

This will give more chances for domestic player to develop.
