What a shame blasi doesnt want to come back...paro and marchiso havent replaced him have they.......
I'd rather have Paro and Marchisio than Blasi, tbh.. With every game, they've shown an increase in confidence, and more passion than any player would.. Over time, I believe they could be exceptional players, if nurtured correctly.. Blasi is alright, but too one-dimensional.. i.e. there is little room for improvement.. As a destroyer, he does the job well.. anything else.... :pumpkin: :D

Maybe the whole issue was exaggerated by the media. How can he refuse to join Juventus in favour of Fiorentina? He was treated badly by Capello and was ignored. He is a regular player now in Florence and he is doing very well. Hope he'll return in the upcoming summer.

actually capello gave him a full chance in his first season and he did very well. Then in his 2nd season he gave him a go at RB. So i dont think he treated him badly

Blasi performed well as a defensive midfielder when he partnered Emerson in the first season under Capello. Both Tacchinardi and Blasi weren't placed in the squad regularly and Capello decided to loan the former and to sideline the latter. And in my opinion, I still think that Blasi is a better destroyer than Emerson.

Generally, I think that Capello's choices in the centre midfield are a little bit weird and unreasonable. For example, Appiah's sale was a big mistake, also Giannichedda's buy was a bigger mistake.

I'm one of the few here that actually thought blasi wasn't that bad but he wasn't no where near the level of emerson( but u have a different view of emerson, so lets leave that)

Capello didn't buy Giannichedda , moggi did especially as he was a free agent. But i think he did very well over last season but this season he didnt get that much chance as he was always injured
Although appiah had some good games over his time here, he wasn't the player we needed him to be and that was a replacement for davids. As appiah isn't a DM and he needs a good cover behind him.
But even when he was playing with tacchi he didn't play as good as he was playing in Brescia or as he played with Ghana.

Moggi couldn't force Capello to include Giannichedda in the squad, unless Capello was personally convinced that Giannchedda could play an important role in our centre midfield. When Giannchedda was regular at Lazio, I thought that he was a good ball winner and a fighter as well, but my theory was proved to be totally untrue when I first watched him in the Bianconeri's shirt.

Appiah is a stud, fighter and very tough, even though, I agree with you that we shouldn't have depended on him as alone defensive midfielder. Regarding Tacchinardi and Appiah's partnership, look mate, I'm totally persuaded that the centre midfield is the most sensitive place in the pitch and a partnership between any two midfielders requires the presence of some skills in both of them to complete each others and not to do the same role. That's why, I do think that a partnership between Tacchinardi and Appiah wouldn't be that great.

Actually, I think that that issue needs lots of discussion.......
