I think you could've done all that with alot of other managers.Perhaps he is laid back in the sense that Del Bosque was,which made the stars and the team in general happy.Other than that I don't think he's all that special.
to each their own..I think he's fukin brilliant. Many managers would not have recommended the purchase of Pancaro and Cafu. Many managers would not have had the idea of CREATING a role for Pirlo like Ancelotti did thereby re-organizing the entire midfield of the team. Many managers do not have the ability to make players like Rui Costa, Tomasson, Ambrosini sit on the bench. Many managers would not have recommended picking up a player named Crespo and adding him to an already packed offensive line-up. That pick up alone allowed us not to totally rely on Sheva.
Many great players are not always great coaches however I think Ancelotti finally matured into a coach of vision and has an ability to create a mid-field which can dictate the entire game.
Regardless, even if you don't agree there is no justification in claiming he is on the same level as Mancini.
